FINAL BATTLE - UMBRA GRIFFON AND SOME OWLS

Master the final battle against the Umbra Griffon and its owl allies in Valiant Hearts: The Great War. Learn boss weaknesses, recommended levels, and strategies for victory.

Stats / Weaknesses:

• Umbra Griffon HP: 4800
• Owl HP: 2400 (each)
• Weakness: Light
• Recommended Level: 46

Phases:

1. Defeat the two owls.
2. Defeat the Umbra Griffon.

Strategy:

• Focus all your Light magic attacks on one owl until it's defeated, then move on to the other.
• Don't bother trying to interrupt the Umbra Griffon until you're ready to attack it directly. It can counter interrupts with a 'damage increase' buff, which you want to avoid.
• The Umbra Griffon can also cast 'armor' and 'unstoppable' spells, but with strong Light magic, this fight shouldn't be too difficult.
• Once both owls are down, focus your attacks on the Umbra Griffon to finish the battle.

After the battle, Austria is flooded, but Aurora leads everyone to Lemuria for a happy ending. The game then proceeds to the credits, followed by a strange post-credits scene with your mother. It's possible that a better ending or more content is available in New Game+ or Hard Mode.

Once you're back in Lemuria with no active goals, your map will display counters for collected STARDUST and COFFERS (treasure chests). Here's how the collectibles were scored in this walkthrough:

From the main menu, you can select NEW GAME+. This mode allows you to carry over items, oculi, confessions, levels, and skills into a fresh playthrough. Be aware that enemies will be tougher in New Game+, but should still be manageable with your carried-over progress.
