Complete walkthrough for Part 5 of Warcraft: Orcs & Humans, covering Human levels 3, 4, and 5. Includes objectives, strategies, and unit formations.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
    Human Level 3: Destroy Outpost

Start by mining gold and harvesting lumber south of your town. Send one footman to explore. The Orcish outpost of Kyross is in the Swamps of Sorrow to the northwest. Enemies will attack from the southwest or northwest, so guard both approaches around the swamp. Build more archers and train peasants as needed. Once your army is sizable and arrows are upgraded, move defenses to the far northwest corner of the swamp to intercept attacks and secure additional mines. Lure enemy units out to your archers, then send archers to destroy the town.

  2. 2
    Human Level 4: Rescue Lothar

This is a dungeon mission focused on formation. Use a formation with footmen at the front to fend off ogres, archers behind them to attack from range, and footmen in the back to protect vulnerable clerics. Have the front footman explore ahead. If an ogre attacks, retreat it to the archers. Use clerics to heal injured units. Stay together throughout the dungeon. Upon reaching Sir Lothar and the other injured units (5 archers), heal them completely before exiting the dungeon.

  3. 3
    Human Level 5: Destroy Orcs

Establish a stronghold in Elwynn Forest. Mines are to the north and south. Train a peasant to chop wood south, and have initial peasants mine gold north. Explore westward with a footman until you find an opening to the north leading to the enemy town. Prepare defenses as enemies will attack immediately in groups of 2-3. Build a barracks and lumbermill. Train footmen to replace losses, then focus on training archers. Train extra peasants and save for a church. With 8 archers, train 2 clerics and upgrade arrows. Build a blacksmith and upgrade armor. Once you have about 5 peasants, 3 footmen, 8 archers, and 2 clerics, advance. Move defenses to the opening in the trees to intercept enemies.

Tips
  • For Human Level 3, archers are more effective than footmen; aim for at least four archers per footman.
  • For Human Level 4, never split up your units in the dungeon.
  • For Human Level 5, consider building a church and upgrading armor and arrows before advancing.
