Learn how to navigate Gus's kite-flying sequence in What Remains of Edith Finch. Follow our guide to interact with words and complete Gus's story.
Alright, after Sam's story, we need to head into Gus's part of the house. Look at the photo at the back of Sam's room. See that little white spot on the handle of the low door in the right corner? Use R1/2 and the left stick to slide that door open. You'll be in a narrow passage. Just head to the end and open the gate – you're in the kids' room now.
Gus's story happens in the same room where Gregory's was. You'll see a couple more beds here, plus Gregory's cot. Find the next shrine at the end of one of the beds, touch it, and we'll get going.
Now, you're holding a kite, and words will pop up on the screen. You'll need to use both sticks to move the kite around and interact with these words. First, go for the white letters right in front of you. Then, aim for the ones up to the right. The black letters will turn white once you've touched them all. After that, more black words will appear a bit to the left. Change those to white, then fly all the way to the far left where there's a big totem pole. More white letters will show up there, so interact with them.
Head back to the center for some more black letters. You'll see some on the chairs, so swoop through those to grab a long kite tail. Then, get some more furniture by interacting with the white letters in the middle of the area. Finally, you'll see the words *I wish that* next to the white tent on the left side of the screen. Swoop the kite through those words and attack the tent to finish Gus's story.
Once Gus's tale is done, walk a bit further right until you see a blackboard. Turn left, then left again to find a climbing wall. Climb up that, and you'll enter Dawn's room, which leads into Milton's.
