To embark on your bug-catching endeavors, you will need a Bug Net, which can be purchased from merchants like Barnaby Buttercup in the village or acquired through completing introductory quests. Once you have your net, you can explore various environments within and around Witchbrook Academy. Different insects inhabit specific biomes and appear at particular times of day or under certain weather conditions. For instance, the common Glowfly can be found fluttering around the Academy gardens at dusk, and these are useful for crafting minor light-producing potions. Venturing into the Whispering Woods, players might encounter the elusive Emerald Beetle, a rare insect prized for its iridescent shell, which is a key component in high-tier enchanting. The Shadow Moth, found only in the dimly lit caves near the Murky Fen, is another valuable find, its wings being essential for brewing potent invisibility draughts.
