- 1Examine the book in the car boot. Follow the path to a petrol station.
- 2Press L3 when prompted to see the car fall off the cliff.

- 33From there, reach a ruined building and find Chest (2/30) containing a Flare Gun, Flare Gun Ammo, and Lithium Batteries.
- 34Backtrack to the logging site entrance and head in the opposite direction.
- 35When blocked by a fallen staircase, grab Revolver Ammo and Batteries from an emergency cabinet.
- 36Continue ahead and find Coffee Thermos (9/100) on a rock.
- 37Examine a non-functional switch on a pole. Head towards a blinking green light.
- 38You will be attacked by three Taken. Use a flare if needed.
- 39After defeating the enemies, switch on the generator to restore power to the switch.
- 40Go into the nearby hut and pick up the Manuscript Page _Wake Attacked By Birds_ (6/91) from a table.
- 41Grab the Shotgun from the nearby shelf.

- Trophies are available for finding 25 and all 91 manuscript pages. A third trophy exists for finding 15 additional pages on Nightmare difficulty.
