Alright, so Memory 8, 'The Mentors Keeper,' is a bit of a flashback! You'll actually be playing as a young Altair here, way before Ezio's time. The main goal for 100% Synchronization is to save all the citizens who are under attack by Templars. Keep your eyes peeled on your minimap – those dark circles are your cues.

Walkthrough

As soon as the memory starts, head up the hill. Your minimap is your best friend here; look for the dark circles indicating citizens in trouble. You need to get to them and take out their Templar attackers. There are four citizens to save in total. Try to be quick about it, as saving them is key to that 100% Sync.

Once you've saved everyone, fight your way up the hill towards the Masyaf fortress.

You'll run into the traitor at the gate. After that confrontation, you'll need to scale the wall.

Once on top of the wall, look for a patrolling Templar and perform a ledge assassination to take him out silently.

Continue down the hill, using stealthy assassinations or silent ranged attacks to deal with any other patrolling Templars you encounter.

Finally, you'll reach the traitor. Take him out before he can harm any more captured assassins. This will lead to Al Mualim being freed.

Tips

Don't dawdle! The citizens under attack are usually cornered by Templars. Get in there and deal with the attackers swiftly.
Stealth is your friend when moving down the hill after scaling the wall. Use cover and silent takedowns to thin out the Templar patrols.

Completing this memory progresses the story and contributes to your overall Synchronization percentage.
