The DLC begins approximately half a year after 'Secrets of the Spires' and a few weeks after 'Avatar: Fire and Ash'.

Teylan intercepts a radio transmission from Recom Quaritch discussing the need to control the insurgency.

Following the arrival of the Tlalim clan, the Aranahe clan's hometree and surrounding territory are attacked and ravaged by fire, leaving behind ash and charred trees. The Kinglor Forest continues to burn.

This conflict was initiated by a new coalition force created between the Mangkwan clan and the RDA, who have invaded and occupied the land, taking over the Aranahe hometree as their base and constructing metal scaffolding around it.

So'lek, a featured Resistance member, awakens to find his world in flames and his Sarentu family scattered after an ambush by the RDA and Mangkwan.

Driven by revenge and grief, So'lek sets out to reunite and protect his loved ones.

Tips

The DLC introduces a new subregion to the Kinglor Forest called 'The Ravines'.
Players only control So'lek in this DLC, and there is no co-op mode.
'From the Ashes' is treated as a standalone game with its own save file, and So'lek does not use the Sarentu's inventory.
The DLC has its own 'Hunter's Guide: From the Ashes'.
So'lek travels the world using his ikran, Ìley.
Banshee riding mechanics are updated, and new RDA and Pandoran enemies are introduced, including humans in Skel Suits and Hellhounds.
New AMP suits include the AMP Breacher, AMP Marksman, and AMP RPG.
NPCs like Kukulope and Etuwa will assist the player during some quests.
Optional objectives include defeating all Mangkwan members on the map and finding all Zeykoma Fruit.
