Find all Battlefield 6 Part 16 collectibles, including Field Manuals and Codex Entries like Airborne Cannons.
Walkthrough
- 1Locate Field Manual #23 in the far north corner of the farm, inside a covered store of chopped wood. Open the door and grab it from the crate inside. (A silenced Mauser pistol is available in the weapons tent on the south side of the farmyard for stealth playthroughs.)
- 2From Field Manual #23, go west, hop over the fence, and cross the track into the next compound. Find Field Manual #24 between two beds at the north end of the large medical tent in the north-west corner of the site.
- 3Exit the medical tent to the south and follow the trench west, then south-west across a small open area to another medical tent. Continue west along the trench and up some steps. Follow the plank path north-west and drop into the trench to the west. Climb out onto the duckboard path. Look south-west for a lantern illuminating a ruined wagon with a crate next to it to find Field Manual #25.
- 4Proceed west to the most northerly of four concrete blockhouses on the far northern edge of the map. Inside this bunker, between the boxes to your left, you will find Field Manual #25.
- 5Obtain the Codex Entry - A War in France for finding all five field manuals in this chapter.
- 6For the War Story 2: Friends in High Places - Chapter 4: Forte et Fidele, your objective is to take out enemy bombers. These are large, pale green twin-engined biplanes flying in groups, marked with red circles on your (radar (your minimap with nearby blips and threats marked)). Look up and down to spot them.
- 7Destroy enemy planes using sustained fire from your gun or rockets if close enough. Fly directly behind a bomber to hold your target longer. Red diamond markers on your (radar) denote enemy fighters.
- 8After taking control in the infantry section, follow the gantries to barrels and a weapon crate. Continue along catwalks west, north, east, and north until you see large metal cylinders. Behind the second cylinder on the right side, you will find Field Manual #26.
- 9Obtain the Codex Entry - Jousting with Dragons for finding the one field manual in this chapter.
- 10At the end of the mission, mount an anti-aircraft gun. To unlock the Codex Entry - Airborne Cannons, destroy ten enemy planes in just 30 seconds. Enemy planes are marked in red on your (minimap (the small circular map in the bottom-left corner of your screen)), but this gives no indication of elevation.
- 11Lead your targets and manage your gun's overheat (after eight seconds of continuous fire). Avoid shooting friendly planes. Four red enemy tri-planes come in low from the front initially, followed by a trio of bombers from the right.
- 12If you haven't unlocked the Codex Entry - Airborne Cannons and your character says "come on, come on!", pause and restart from the last (checkpoint (an auto-save point you restart from on death)). Each attempt takes 30 seconds and can be restarted quickly.
- 13If you have the physical disc edition and are stuck on the Codex Entry - Airborne Cannons, uninstall the game, disconnect your console from the internet, and install from the disc without patches to attempt the challenge without the nerf applied to the anti-air gun.
Tips
- The trenches can feel like a warren; consider killing all enemies first and then backtracking before following directions or using a video guide.
- The Codex Entry - Airborne Cannons is considered the hardest and most frustrating challenge in the game. Using a video guide is highly recommended.
- If you fail to get the Codex Entry - Airborne Cannons, restart from the last (checkpoint).
