Walkthrough

Climb the surface to the right of the entrance door to reach a platform above.

To the left of the top of this climbing surface, you will find a purple door guarding a puzzle piece.

Walk to the right edge of the platform.

Jump down, grab the key, turn around, and walk left.

Jump as far as you can into the death pit.

Once you land, reverse back to standing on the edge of the upper platform. Your shadow will mimic your movements, leaving the key on the left edge of the death pit.

If you are fast enough and jumped far enough, you may be able to grab the key from your shadow as it falls into the pit.

If you miss the key, climb down and stand on the left side of the pit.

Jump into the pit again, landing directly on top of the key and facing left. This facing is very important.

If done correctly, your shadow will grab the key as it is dying, and the key will pop up just enough for Tim to grab it if he is standing on the extreme edge of the platform.

Once you have the key, climb back up, unlock the purple door, and claim the puzzle piece.

Tips

The timing and distance of your initial jump into the death pit are crucial for the shadow-grabbing method.
Facing left when landing on the key in the second attempt ensures the shadow interaction works correctly.
Be on the extreme edge of the platform when the shadow interaction occurs to grab the key.
