Learn how to sync the flytraps in Braid's w6l5p2 level to double bounce on enemies and grab the puzzle piece. Step-by-step guide for this tricky challenge.

Alright, we're heading into level 5-2, which is a bit of a tricky one. From where we left off in the last section, just backtrack to the right, past that annoying flytrap. You can grab your ring if you want, but honestly, I don't find it super helpful for this specific puzzle. Keep heading right from the flytrap, and you'll come to a wider platform. Look up, and you'll see the exit door below you. To your right is a death wall, so don't go that way. Instead, focus on the left side. The ground there is a different color, and just above it, you'll spot the puzzle piece you're after. Now, look up again – there are three flytraps hanging out, and to their right, a green enemy cannon is spitting out those little green guys.

The problem is, those flytraps are going to eat most of the enemies before they can help you. You need at least two of them to survive so you can use them for a double bounce to reach that puzzle piece on the raised platform to the left. To make this happen, you've got to get the flytraps to sync up.

Here's the trick: Place your ring directly under the middle flytrap. Now, just watch them. You're looking for a moment where all three flytraps are retracted into their pipes at the same time. The instant you see this window, quickly grab your ring back. It’s a good idea to wait for another cycle or two to make sure they’re truly in sync before you proceed.

Once you've got them synched, it's time to use the rewind. As soon as you see that moment where all three flytraps are down, you need to press rewind. While rewinding, either tap or press (depending on your controller) at the exact moment they're all retracted. If you've timed it right and two or three enemies make it across the minefield safely, let go of and immediately run left towards where the enemies are. When two of them are on the lower ground, just before they head right into the area you were just in, double bounce off them. This should give you enough height to reach the puzzle piece.

Don't get discouraged if you don't nail it on the first try. This one can be a bit finicky. Just rebuild your rewind buffer by moving around a bit, and then try again with the next wave of enemies. You'll get it!
