Walkthrough
  1. 1
At the start of Block 2-01, jump the gap to the right to whip the right wall and obtain a large Heart.
  2. 2
Head upwards, killing the Skeleton enemy.
  3. 3
Collect the Pocket Watch sub-weapon from a nearby candle.
  4. 4
Continue upwards, defeating the Knight enemy by whipping it from range.
  5. 5
Collect candles as you ascend, holding up at certain points to climb until the next screen.
  6. 6
On the next screen, kill Skeletons and Knights, watching your jumps.
  7. 7
Pick up the Sacred Water sub-weapon from one of the candles.
  8. 8
Make your way left and up the stairs to continue.
  9. 9
In the final screen of Block 2-01, ride the clock pendulums to the far right. The first pendulum is safer due to land underneath.
  10. 10
For the second pendulum over the giant pit, use a save state if desired, then jump and ride to the next block.
  11. 11
In Block 2-02, ride the large grey gear in the middle to cross the screen, jumping off just as it begins to descend.
  12. 12
Head up the stairs, grab the candles, and kill the Skeleton Swordsman.
  13. 13
In the vertically-scrolling screen, take your time to line up whips against the incoming Medusa Heads.
  14. 14
Collect the Axe sub-weapon from the first candle on the far right.
  15. 15
Continue upwards, using a gear to cross as you ascend out of the Medusa Head area.
  16. 16
Proceed through the door to the next block.
  17. 17
In Block 2-03, ride the gear to the lower right, waiting longer than usual to jump to avoid hitting upper blocks and falling to your death.
  18. 18
Break the upper right wall to find a Double Trouble block, allowing you to throw two sub-weapons at once.
  19. 19
Continue upwards to the next screen, which is another vertically-scrolling area filled with Medusa Heads.
  20. 20
Jump left to the gears, then continue jumping left to solid ground and head up, trying to leave Medusa Heads behind but be ready to whip them.
  21. 21
Be precise with jumps, some require walking to the edge.
  22. 22
Jump onto a gear further up and immediately jump left.
  23. 23
Continue upwards to exit this screen.
  24. 24
On the next screen, whip the right wall to obtain Leg of Werewolf to heal.
  25. 25
Gather the candles and head left to face the boss.
  26. 26
BOSS: Nasty Grant - Approach him, and be ready for him to throw daggers. Use the multiple levels in the arena to force him to change planes, allowing you to attack.
  27. 27
If you have Sacred Water, jump to the center platform and throw it as he jumps down. He will take significant damage. Repeat if he moves to the far right.
  28. 28
If you take a hit, move left while continuing to whip and use sub-weapons.
  29. 29
After defeating Nasty Grant, you will have a choice to bring him along or leave him behind.
  30. 30
To exit the Clock Tower, proceed through Block 2-04.
  31. 31
In Block 2-04, you can press Select to switch characters. Grant is a fast character with short-range dagger attacks and takes slightly more damage than Trevor.
