Game Modes [ai03]

Learn about the game modes in Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin, including unlock conditions for Richter Mode, Sisters Mode, and Axe Armor Mode.

Initially, you will only have access to Jonathan mode. After completing the game with the good ending (by beating True Dracula), you will unlock Richter Mode, Sisters Mode, and New Game +. Additionally, you can choose to play on 'hard' difficulty for these modes, which increases the challenge.

Axe Armor Mode is unlocked by defeating 1000 Old Axe Armor enemies in Jonathan mode and then completing the game with the good ending.

Upon achieving the good ending once, Boss Rush 2 and 3 will also become available to play from the main menu.
