You will begin this mission with all units from Mission 03. Having a well-developed army from the previous mission will save time. If all capture points were secured by the end of Mission 03, you will have no sniper issues on the northern town outskirts.

Build your defenses on the side of the bridge further from the town. German forces will spawn from the north and continuously spawn until a scripted event requires you to retreat to the church. The sooner you stop the invasion, the more enemies will spawn, making it easier to reach your kill quota.

For each defense point, establish an MG nest with engineers, a 5.7 mm AT cannon, and a squad armed with either a recoilless rifle or Panzershreck. Have your airborne units build mines, tank traps (if available), barbed wire, and sandbags around the area. Upgrade your engineers with flamethrowers to cover flanks against enemy infantry. Avoid over-defending, as a scripted artillery barrage will force you to abandon your positions.

Set up defenses near the church. Man any abandoned AT guns and MG42s and position them around the church. German forces will attack from three directions, so position your defenses accordingly to cover a 180-degree radius in front of the church.

Use any spare squads as a "fire brigade" to reinforce threatened positions. Replenish squads and repair MG emplacements as needed. Ideally, the fire brigade should be positioned at the center bridge.

Hold your lines until the first artillery strike. After the barrage, fall back across the bridge and consolidate your forces near the town hall until the second barrage.

During the second barrage, pull all units back to the church. Replace any lost units and, if you have snipers, station them by the church tower.

Hold your position until reinforcements arrive. Prioritize eliminating panzers, as they are the greatest threat. Use MGs to mop up infantry. Save grenades and use satchel charges against panzers.

If you survive this stage, reinforcements including Shermans and rifle squads will arrive. Secure the area around the church, eliminate remaining infantry, and destroy the four panzers with your Shermans and infantry. You should easily reach 250 kills if you have around 240 kills by the time reinforcements arrive.

To earn the Bronze Star medal, aim to reach 80-90% of the kill quota (230-240 kills) by the time reinforcements arrive. Otherwise, you may fall short, as German units stop spawning once reinforcements appear. This may require luck and practice.
