Level 1: Turtle Woods

Complete walkthrough for Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy's first level, Turtle Woods. Find all boxes, gems, and secrets, including the Bonus Stage and Secret Area.

Walkthrough: Start the game's first level by breaking the ? Box and proceeding up the hill. You can defeat the first enemy or jump over the obstacle. Jump on the Bounce Box on the ground and bounce between the two boxes for Wumpa Fruit. Once they break, head forward and wade through the mud. Collect the Fruit and avoid falling into the pit to your left. Break the ? Box and go past the enemy (or kill it). Jump over the pit and go up to the stack of boxes. Break the bottom two and either bounce on the Bounce Box or break it. Jump over the pit, kill the enemy, and break open the box. You can body slam a strange object on the ground to open it and access a SECRET AREA, which is necessary for the Silver Gem. Continue on, break the box to get Aku Aku, and then break the Checkpoint Box. To kill turtles, jump on their shells to flip them over, then jump on them to bounce. Continue past them and stand on the ? spot on the ground to be taken to the BONUS STAGE.

1. Bonus Stage: Break the box right past the entrance. Jump onto the box in the mud (you cannot break boxes while in the mud). At the other end of the mud, jump from the ground onto the second box. Hop over the pit and kill the enemy. Jump over the obstacle and deal with the turtles. Past them is a checkpoint and a wall of boxes. Break through them all and get the Aku Aku. Drop into the small pit and kill the two rats. This will make a mushroom pop up that you can bounce on to get out of the pit.
2. When you see the next turtle, don't kill it. Jump onto its shell to make it flip over and bounce to the ? Box above you. Spin to break it and collect the life. Go forward and break the three boxes. Jump into the pit and kill the rats to make the mushroom you can bounce on appear. Go forward, through the mud, and collect the CRYSTAL. Go onto the small pit and kill the rats to make the mushroom appear. Jump across the last pit and finish the level.

Bonus Stage: Jump onto the platform to the right and collect all the Wumpa Fruit. Break the boxes and jump onto the platform to the right. On the next platform to the right is a box with a life in it. Jump down to the next platform, break the box, and ride back up to the level to complete this short bonus stage.

Secret Area (for Silver Gem): Break all the boxes near where you start and jump across the platforms to the right. Jump on top of the turtles to turn them over so you can kill them. Further along are two more boxes and a checkpoint. Jump onto the next platform and jump over or on the bird. On the next platform, break the box and jump to the next platform. Break the two boxes here, then slide and jump to reach the platform with boxes above the Nitro. After this platform, jump down onto the one to the right with the Arrow Crate. Break the crate and jump up to the platform on the right. Jump onto the pink bird's back and quickly jump from there onto the platform with boxes. You have little time before it lowers its head. Jump onto the next bird and jump to the platform with the single box. Break it and collect the life. Drop down to your left and break the boxes. Proceed right and jump over the bird. The next platform is the last one and has a ! Box to destroy the Nitro and a normal box. Spin into both and ride the platform back up.

Getting the Blue Gem: Finish the level without breaking ANY boxes. The gem will appear at the end of the level.
