Stuck on the Straga boss fight in Darksiders? This guide breaks down his attacks and provides a winning strategy to help you defeat the giant golem and continue your quest for redemption.

Stats / Weaknesses:

• Boss: Straga (Giant Golem)
• Weak Point: Face (after being stunned)
• Primary Attacks: Tossing Cars, Fire Wave, Grab and Roar

Phases:

1. Phase 1: Initial Assault
   Straga stays at the far end of the platform. He'll start by tossing cars from the lava pit. These are easy to dodge with a dash. After taking some damage, he'll slam his hand down, sending a fire wave. Sidestep these to avoid them.
2. Phase 2: The Roar
   Once Straga has taken a good amount of damage, he'll grab the edges of the platform, lift it, and roar. If you're standing still, this attack does serious damage. To avoid it, perform a double jump as soon as you see his mouth opening.
3. Phase 3: Stun and Attack
   After dodging his car toss, a car will be left in the middle of the arena. Pick it up and throw it at Straga's face. This will stun him and bring his head down to your level. Get in close and unleash your sword combos on his face.
4. Phase 4: Repeat and Finish
   Repeat the strategy of dodging his attacks, stunning him with a car, and then wailing on his face. When he's taken enough punishment, an action button prompt will appear to finish the fight.

Strategy:

• When Straga tosses cars, dodge them with a dash. A car will often be left behind – use this!
• When he slams his hand down for the fire wave, simply sidestep.
• Watch for his mouth opening – that's your cue to double jump and avoid the grab-and-roar attack.
• After dodging a car toss, grab the leftover car and hurl it at Straga's face. This is your main opening.
• Once stunned, rush in and unleash your sword combos on his exposed face.
• Be patient and focus on dodging his attacks. The stun-and-attack loop is key to victory.
• When the prompt appears, press the action button to finish him off.
• After the fight, watch the cutscene to complete the prologue.
