Identifying their types and learning their behaviors is key to survival.

Mactera are a constant nuisance, capable of harassing players from above and raining down projectiles. Their presence can disrupt formations and force players to divide their attention between ground threats and aerial assaults. Different Mactera variants possess distinct abilities, making each encounter a unique challenge.

Common Mactera Types

• Mactera Goo Bomber: These Mactera hover in place and lob globs of corrosive goo. The goo creates damaging puddles on impact, forcing players to reposition. They are relatively slow-moving and can be targeted effectively with ranged weapons.
• Mactera Grappler: These agile Mactera can latch onto players with their tendrils, slowing them down and dealing continuous damage. They are a high priority target due to their ability to immobilize and drain health. Fast-firing weapons or area-of-effect attacks are effective against them.

1. Prioritize Aerial Threats: Always be aware of your surroundings and listen for the distinctive sounds of Mactera. Prioritize targeting them as soon as they appear, especially the Goo Bombers and Grapplers, to prevent them from disrupting your ground combat.
2. Utilize Ranged Weapons: Weapons with good range and accuracy, such as the M1000 Classic or the Autocannon, are excellent for picking off Mactera from a distance.
