Beyond basic defense, these tricks can give you a tactical advantage in combat:

• Boss Kiting: For large boss enemies (like Ozzy or Heffalumps), lure them back to your base. Distract them with expendable buildings or single melee units while your ranged units and siege weapons safely deal damage. This minimizes damage to your core army.
• Wave Timer Reset: In missions with specific objectives (e.g., freeing Scott from prison), completing the objective when the current wave timer is low (e.g., 20 seconds left) can reset the end-mission wave timer. This grants you an additional 10 minutes or more to prepare for the final assault, which can be a game-changer.
• Builder's House Placement: Construct Builder's Houses strategically across the map, even in areas where you don't immediately plan to build. This reduces the walking distance for builders, allowing for quicker repairs and construction in distant areas without pulling your main builders away from critical tasks.
• Flanking with Siege Units: The AI often focuses on the most direct path to your Keep. If you set up a siege unit (like a Catapult or Trebuchet) to fire from the sides of the enemy wave, supported by a few soldiers and a healer, you can deal significant damage to the flanks of the enemy formation, often ored by the main wave.
