Learn how to conquer the Kill Chain challenge in Dishonored's Dunwall City Trials. Get tips and strategies for each round, including bonus objectives, to achieve mastery.

Alright, so you're diving into the Dunwall City Trials and landed on 'Kill Chain.' Think of it like a super-tight timed puzzle where you gotta take out a bunch of enemies, but here's the kicker: you've only got four seconds between each kill. It's not about brute force here; it's about using your brain and the limited tools you've got. Unlike some other challenges, the enemies here are completely still and won't react to you, which is a huge help. The timer kicks off the moment you make your first move, so plan wisely!

There are six main rounds, and after you clear the first five, you'll get a shot at bonus objectives. These bonus rounds can be pretty tough, especially if you're aiming to clear everything. The game gives you a heads-up that Bend Time is super useful here, and honestly, it's a lifesaver.

Round 1 Bonus (Chain)

For this bonus, you need to take out three people in just one second. You've got a crossbow with five bolts, Blink, and Possession. The trick is to use Possession to drag two of the enemies over to the third one. Once they're all grouped up, whip out your crossbow and go for quick headshots.

Round 1 Bonus (Environmental)

This one wants you to use the street speakers to kill three enemies. Look for the skull symbols on the ground; those mark the speaker locations. It's similar to the other Round 1 bonus: use Possession to gather all three enemies under a speaker, then hit it with your pistol to drop it on them.

Pro-Tip: For both Round 1 bonuses, you can use Possession to gather the enemies up in the same spot. Just bring them to the location shown in the image, and you're golden.

Round 2 Bonus (Chain)

This can be a real nail-biter. You've got to kill all six enemies using only your crossbow, and you only have six bolts. That means every shot has to count, so aim for the head. Start with the enemy up top, then drop down to the one below and work your way around the rest.

Round 2 Bonus (Environmental)

Another tricky one! You can't use any weapons to take out these six enemies. Thankfully, there are two whale oil tanks on the ground. Your plan is to use Possession on the guy up top and bring him down to the train tracks. Do the same for the guy just below him. For the third Possession, grab the guard near the disabled Wall of Light and drop him on the tracks too. Now, you'll likely be out of mana for more Possessions, but you'll have enough for Windblast. Grab one of the whale oil tanks, use it to power up the Wall of Light, and then use Windblast to shove the Overseer into it. If that doesn't finish him, use the other whale oil tank to plug into the socket under the stairs – that'll power the tracks and fry the remaining enemies. If the Overseer somehow survives, just remove a tank and toss it at him.

Round 3 Bonus (Chain)

Your goal here is to take out all ten enemies using just your sword and Blink. If you've managed to clear the normal round, this might feel familiar. If not, take a moment before you start to scout out the area and plan your route. You don't want to waste precious seconds wandering around!
