Learn how to create and customize your own character in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2! Choose your race, gender, and understand stat bonuses to build your perfect fighter.

Alright, so you've booted up Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 and you're ready to jump in! The very first thing you'll do after the game checks your online connection is hit the character select screen. This is where the magic happens – you'll pick an empty slot to start crafting your very own CaC (Create-a-Character).

Once you select a slot, you'll be taken to the character creation screen. Just like in the first Xenoverse, you've got five awesome races to choose from: Saiyan, Human, Majin, Namekian, and Frieza's Race. Keep in mind that Namekians and Frieza's Race only have one gender option, while the others let you pick between male and female.

Now, this is super important: your choice of race and gender isn't just for looks! Each combination comes with its own set of base stat bonuses. These bonuses automatically boost certain stats more than others every time your character levels up, even before you add your own stat points. This is a huge deal for how you'll design your character builds and which skills will work best for them. Think carefully about what kind of fighter you want to be!

One last thing to know, and this is a pretty sweet deal: if you decide to create a new character after you've already made one or more, your new fighter gets access to all the skills you've earned with your other characters. Plus, they'll have all your items and equipment, including any Dragon Balls you've collected (we'll cover the easy Dragon Ball farming later!). The only catch is that any equipment already equipped on your other characters will be locked away unless you happen to have a spare one. So, choose wisely and have fun building your ultimate warrior!
