Level up your Dragon Ball Z Dokkan Battle characters fast! Learn how to use training items and locations to maximize your gains and prepare for any event.

Alright, so you wanna get your characters stronger, right? This is the core of Dokkan Battle – it's all about Training! Seriously, if you're not training your units to their max level, you're gonna have a really tough time with Strike Events, Dokkan Events, and pretty much everything else. Don't skip this step!

When you jump into the Training screen, the first thing you'll do is pick a character that isn't maxed out yet. After that, you'll see another screen where you can choose what you want to use for training. You can use up to five other characters and a bunch of training items. These don't come back, by the way, so choose wisely! You can also use training locations, which give you a nice EXP boost outside of battles, making the whole leveling process way faster.

Here’s a pro-tip: When you're picking characters and training items to use, try to match their types! If you use a character or item that's the same type as the one you're training, you'll get way more experience points. It might seem like you're using up more stuff, but in the long run, it actually saves you items because you'll need fewer of them to get the same results. Check out the training item section for the exact EXP values if you want to get super detailed.

Every single time you train, you'll need to cough up some Zeni. The amount required pops up at the bottom of the screen. Just a heads-up, the rarer your character and the training items you use, the more Zeni it's gonna cost you.

And don't sleep on those training locations! Once you snag the Supreme Kai's Planet (costs 150G), you'll get an extra 50,000 EXP for each character you train. Even better, if you get the Gravity Chamber (also 150G), you'll get a x2.0 EXP boost, meaning Success is Guaranteed for all characters and training items used! That's huge for speeding things up.

The total experience you're gonna get from a training session will show up at the bottom of the screen, right next to the Zeni cost. Keep an eye on that so you know how close you are to maxing out your favorite units!
