Dragon Quest Builders 2 Khrumbul-Dun walkthrough: Learn how to build a cask, fix minecart tracks, and progress through the mines.
Walkthrough
- 1Head north to the damaged tracks and talk to Malroth. After the scene, build a makeshift staircase.
- 2Speak with the girl who gave you the blocks, then follow her to your base.
- 3Speak to the bodybuilders, then the bartender, then back to Babs.
- 4You need to make a cask. Gather 4x wood and 1x cord. Wood can be found by breaking crates, broken barrels, wooden debris, and damaged barricades. Cord can be obtained from the ivy in the back of the bar. Alternatively, if you have completed the lists for the Explorer's Shores islands, wood and cord are available in infinite supply at the crafting table.
- 5Build a cask using the workbench near the anvil and iron blocks.
- 6Place the cask on the marked copper brick in the bar.
- 7Place and cook one of the provided vineapples in the cask, then collect your first drink.
- 8Give the drink to Babs, chat with her, and follow her. Smash open the wall until you free a golem.
- 9Talk to the golem, follow him, and speak to him again when he stops.
- 10Speak with the smith, Magrog, and receive rusty wrecking balls.
- 11Head southwest in the mine to a large sand wall. Speak to Dougie again, then place a rusty wrecking ball on the marked block and back away.
- 12Enter the tunnel you created and work your way west to damaged supports.
- 13Equip your gloves and rebuild the marked supports using wood blocks.
- 14Talk to Dougie again to find copper and coal. Place a rusty wrecking ball on the pile to mine it yourself. You can find five more rusty wrecking balls in a chest to the right of Dougie's path.
- 15Gather copper and coal, as both are needed in large quantities.
- 16Talk to Magrog again and hand over your copper to Goldirox. Talk with Babs.
- 17Speak with Magrog, learn to make a forge, and craft copper ingots.
- 18Speak to Magrog and build a cocktail shaker. Place it on the marked counter space.
- 19Tell Babs you will help and then that you will ring the bell. Do so and talk to the new arrivals, then to Babs again.
- 20Tell Goldirox the plan. A new blueprint will be drawn, becoming an official mission.
- 21Speak to Digby and build two chests. Place them and the third chest by your workspace on the marked blocks.
- 22Speak to Digby again and head to the mine. Follow him and drop another rusty wrecking ball to open more tunnel.
- 23Fix the minecart track. Climb the chains to find a chest with a Seed of Life at the top.
- 24From the Seed of Life, head southwest along the top of the mountains for a Builder's Puzzle. Use your pot of water to create a waterfall on both sides. Use the puller buttons behind the waterfalls to make magnet blocks stop on the blue tiles. Collect your medal and return to where you got the seed.
- 25Head back down the chains and place a wrecking ball beneath the stack of spare track to collect it.
- 26Build the minecart track, walking along it even if you are not in a cart.
- 27When you reach the next stop, continue fixing the track using any additional unused track to the right.
- 28Make three wooden minecarts and place them down. Ride the tracks back to the bridge you started repairing.
- 29Blow open the wall the miner is staring at and go inside.
- 30Head north, then west when the tunnel splits. Explode the wall with more rusty wrecking balls.
- 31Go back to the split and head east. Explode the wall another miner is staring at.
- 32Continue east to find a naviglobe and a monster swarm (5x Mischevious Mole, 1x Chasmonaut). Defeat them after triggering the naviglobe. Hitting level 11 grants the Copper Sword recipe.
- 33Warp back.
- 34Speak with Digby and then with Den, the barkeep.
- 35Make simple sipper's seats by placing tables, stools, and a full flagon on the tables. You can make these and a social sipper's table, but cannot finish the bar yet due to lack of iron.
Tips
- Prioritize the mine and bar progression to advance through golem levels (copper, silver, and gold) more quickly. Exploring for puzzles or beautifying the town can prolong your stay on the island.
- You can find five more rusty wrecking balls in a chest to the right of Dougie's path.
- Hitting level 11 grants the Copper Sword recipe.
