There is no better feeling than pummeling your way through large armies like a Kung Fu Master. If you are tired of punching things, you can learn the art of wrestling by becoming best buddies with Huang Gai and mastering one of the most powerful battle arts, Heaven and Earth Wrath (HEW), also known as the Sky Power Bomb. From there, you will be able to Power bomb everyone into oblivion, and it is mad fun.

Combos:

  1. Block + Strong to change stance to Serpent: N1 to launch -> Strong to land.
  2. Strong to change stance to Tiger -> spam normal attack or Strong to finish the combo.
  3. Chain Stone Strike Blast for more fortitude damage and finish with a).
  4. After Parry or Counter, Block + Strong to change stance to Serpent -> spam Strong to launch.
  5. Keep spamming strong to change to Tiger stance and then spam Strong or Normal attack to finish the combo.
  6. Chain Stone Strike Blast for more fortitude damage and then finish the combo with a).
  7. With Chi charged for 3 and 4: After PA or counter, Block + S to change stance to Serpent: Nx1 to launch -> Strong to land. Then Nx1 for 1 hit and spam Strong to change to Tiger and finish the combo.
  8. After PA or counter, Block + S to change stance to Serpent: Strong to launch. Then Nx1 for 1 hit and spam Strong to change to Tiger and finish the combo.
  9. Evade + forward strong spam for decent AoE attacks to lots of soldiers vs a big army. Much faster to execute after activating Flowing Form BA.

Most useful battle arts:

  • Stone Strike Blast: Your start to end game useful battle art. You can chain combos, use for AoE clearing, even chase down although a bit expensive bravery wise for the latter.
  • Heaven and Earth's Wrath (HEW): Your go-to end game battle art. Very strong but also very high bravery cost. You will mostly use normal moves to gain bravery and spam this battle art vs large armies.
  • Flowing Form: Usually your 3rd battle art equipped. It is a very useful battle art that can make your life easier at 1 bravery cost with Disc of Huanglong. 2 may cost too much, 1 is very good. When you activate this battle art, you can mindlessly just spam evade + Strong (Phoenix) or just Strong (Tiger Stance) over and over in armies and hit enemies from afar. You also no longer need to pay attention to what combo you should use if you start with Chi or not. Any combo works when you activate this BA. Your combos will be safer and faster, which is very good for 1 bravery cost; at 2 it is debatable.
  • Maw of the Tiger: A useful counter art but with a very high cost. Use it for duels and vs large armies. Switch this BA with Flowing Form depending on the situation.
  • Wrath of Earth and Raging Tiger Rampage: Can be used before unlocking HEW.
  • Elbow Strike: A quick BA useful for chaining combos. Not particularly useful at 2 bravery cost. It might be useful with Disc of Huanglong lowering its cost to 1.

My Final setup:

  • Maw of the Tiger/Flowing Form
  • Stone Blast
  • Palm Strike/Power Shot
  • Heaven and Earth Wrath

Weapon attributes:

  • + 10% damage, -5% def
  • + 10% officer damage
  • + Increase Parry window (personal choice)
  • + 10% Bravery gain
  • + 10% Battle Art damage
  • + 10% Wushu (Fortitude) damage

The +10% battle art damage is important as you will rely on HEW to do the main bulk of your damage.

Rank 8 Weapon: Striking Luan

Battle Of Xiaopei (Chapter 3, Liu Bei)

Objective: Defeat Sun Ce within 10 minutes. Charge him and follow him wherever he goes (he gets redeployed around) and defeat him.

Ultimate Challenge Battle Art: Raging Tiger Rampage

This battle art is kinda meh, ok to use before you unlock Power Bomb.

Chapter 1: Battle of Guangzong

Objective: Beat the crap out of Zhang Jiao (lower his health to less than 50%) before reinforcement arrives. Ok, not exactly what the in-game challenge says, but that is what you need to do. This is a stage where you probably need to charge into a large army by yourself. The timer is not very strict, so you have time to farm your Bravery to max before going in. Charge Zhang Jiao, unload your ultimate BA, pop Musou rage/items, and do it again. Not hard to drop his health to less than 50%.

Max Bond Battle Art: Heaven and Earth Wrath

Max bond with Huang Gai.

Ranking:

  • Duels: S - It has 0 bravery combos, good BA as follow-up, and a powerful (but somewhat expensive) counter BA. Any weapon with a counter BA gets a bonus in scoring as it makes duels that much easier.
  • Weapon Damage: A+ - Heaven and Earth Wrath does insane damage but limited use due to high bravery cost. Since you will mostly want to save your bravery for HEW, your standard combo will mostly not be using any BA as follow-up, which means lower damage overall. High burst damage with Musou rage and HEW spam however.
  • Fortitude Damage: A - 0 cost bravery combos and decent follow-up that is a bit costly in BA. This weapon cannot do 10 fortitude damage even with full bravery in one combo, unfortunately. Power Bomb is very strong but comes with a very high bravery cost.
  • Vs large Army + Officers: S- - The gauntlet has 0 bravery cost quick AoE (evade + block + strong spam) to help charge up bravery. But have to be careful vs facing multiple officers. Evade + forward strong spam for decent AoE attacks vs lots of soldiers in a big army for bravery recharge. Much faster to execute after activating Flowing Form BA.
