Defeat Radahn: Travel to Caelid and find the Radahn Festival at Redmane Castle. You can reach it naturally by following Ranni’s Questline, or by activating a Site of Grace at Altus Plateau, changing the time to night, and heading to the Impassable Greatbridge Site of Grace. Radahn is an optional boss, but a tough encounter. Utilize the companions you can summon during the battle.

Defeat Mohg, Lord of Blood: This optional boss is located in Mohgwyn Palace. To reach him early, progress through White-Faced Varré’s NPC (non-player character — anyone the game controls, not you) Questline to obtain the Pureblood Knight’s Medal, which teleports you to Mohgwyn Palace. Alternatively, progress until you reach the Consecrated Snowfield, find a Waygate northwest of the Yelough Anix Ruins, and teleport to Ordina, Liturgical Town. From there, head southwest to find the Waygate near the cliff edge on the lower platform, west of the spires. This Waygate is inactive until you defeat a nearby invader. Mohg is a tougher encounter than Radahn.

Interact with the Cocoon: After defeating Mohg, look for a large Cocoon with an arm hanging out of it just beyond where you fought him. If you have purchased the elden ring shadow of the erdtree DLC (downloadable content — extra missions or items released after launch), you can interact with this cocoon to trigger a cutscene (a non-interactive cinematic the game plays automatically) and be transported to the Land of Shadow.

Prepare for the Land of Shadow: FromSoftware recommends being Endgame ready, which means being at least Level 100, with levels 115-125 being more likely. If you have already defeated the Elden Ring and haven't started New Game+, you should be around this level. For leveling, consider areas like the Haligtree or Leyndell, Royal Capital.
