Explore the tough enemies and bosses found within the Coliseum in Final Fantasy II Pixel Remaster, including the Behemoth and rare Wizard encounters.

The Coliseum in Final Fantasy II presents a significant challenge, housing many of the game's toughest monsters. Special attention should be paid to the Specter, which can inflict Sleep, and the Parasite, which drains MP. The Wizard is a rare but valuable encounter, as it may drop the Osmose Tome.

Coliseum 1F Trap:

Upon entering the Coliseum's first floor and heading north, the party falls into a trap, initiating a boss battle.

Strategy vs. Behemoth: The Behemoth is a physical attacker with no magic. Prioritize casting Blink and Protect. If Blink levels are high (4-5), Protect may be optional. Use powerful magic spells as the Behemoth has high Defense. Recast Blink as needed. Its lack of magic is its primary weakness.

Coliseum B2:

From the jail cell, proceed east and slightly north to find a Monster-in-a-Box containing an ANTIDOTE. Return to the cell, head north, and then take the eastern path to a room containing an ELIXER, an ETHER, and a COTTAGE. Exit and head northeast to a lone door.

Coliseum B1:

Important: Unequip Gordon before speaking to Princess Hilda, as he will join her instead of your party.

Princess Hilda is located here. Follow the path east, then south, and enter a small opening leading to an area with cells. Hilda is in the far-right cell. Other cells contain monsters for the Bestiary and can be accessed via side passages as their doors are locked. Speaking to Hilda's cell door will open it, and Gordon will depart with her. Backtrack to the small opening and proceed west.

Coliseum 1F (Exit):

Head north, follow the path past the Emperor's throne, then south to exit the area. There are no further objectives here.
