Alright, so we're diving into the Snow Cavern, and it's packed with goodies and some tough fights. Let's break it down so you don't miss anything or get blindsided!

First off, you'll run into a bunch of monsters in here. Here's a quick rundown of some of them:

Snow Cavern B1

When you first enter, head straight west to snag 300 Gil. Then, go south and take the eastern path to find another 350 Gil. After that, backtrack, go south again, and head down the stairs to the east. Don't worry about the door you see; it's for later.

Snow Cavern B2

Keep circling around and take the next set of stairs down. You'll see a door, but it just leads to a Monster Room, so ignore it for now.

Snow Cavern B3

Head west and follow the path to grab an ANTARCTIC WIND. This item is super helpful for the boss fight coming up, so don't skip it! Then, backtrack and keep following the main path. When the path splits, go north and enter the stairs you find.

Snow Cavern B2 (Again)

Follow this path, and you'll find a BATTLE AXE, an ANTIDOTE, and a MYTHRIL MACE. Be careful though, the Mythril Mace is in a Monster-in-a-Box chest. Make sure your party is fully healed before you try to open it.

Snow Cavern B3 (Again)

Head back the way you came to go down the stairs again. This time, follow the path straight south, then west. Go down another set of stairs when you reach them.

Snow Cavern B4

From the entrance of this floor, go straight north to find a POTION. Grab it after going around the cliff. Then, head straight east to pick up a BLIZZARD TOME. From there, go straight south to find another POTION. Keep heading east and around to grab a MYTHRIL SPEAR. Ignore the door to the north (it's another Monster Room) and keep going around to find the next set of stairs.

Snow Cavern B5

The exit is directly south of where you enter this floor. However, if you go straight west, you can snag a free MYTHRIL SHIELD. From the shield's location, head south (you'll need to loop back east and then south again) to find another Monster-in-a-Box. This one holds the ANCIENT SWORD, which is awesome because it can curse enemies. Once you have it, head east from the sword to find the door to the next area.

Snow Cavern B6

This next part is a bit weird, with some peaceful beavers. Go straight north from where you enter and talk to the beaver that isn't moving. Surprisingly, Guy can understand beaver language! ASK the beaver about the GODDESS'S BELL, and you'll learn it's hidden in a passage to the right. From the beaver, go south one square, then directly east, and you'll pass through a hidden wall into a new area.

Follow the path all the way around in this new area to pick up the SILVER CUIRASS. Head north and heal up. When you approach the giant beast blocking your way, you'll have to fight the boss:

The Adamantoise is a real tank! Its high Attack and Defense mean most physical hits won't do much, and it can hit you really hard. Your best bet is to use Ice-based spells. If you grabbed the ANTARCTIC WIND and the BLIZZARD TOME earlier, use them! Before you start attacking, buff your team with Blink and Protect. Keep casting those Ice spells, and you'll take it down. If you're short on Ice magic, be prepared for a long fight, but keep buffing and hitting it with your strongest elemental spells.

After you defeat the Adamantoise, grab the GODDESS'S BELL from behind it. Head back up the stairs and return to B1.

Snow Cavern B1 (Final Check)

Before you leave, if you plan on playing the Soul of Rebirth extra content, equip Josef with your absolute best gear right now! He's leaving soon, and he'll take those items with him to Soul of Rebirth, where they can be used by other characters. Once you're all set and Josef is geared up, start heading towards the exit. Heal up, because you're about to face another tough enemy!
