Mother's Ashes

Complete the 'Mother's Ashes' quest in God of War (2018). Learn how to return to Týr's travel room and find Jötunheim's highest peak to scatter the ashes and unlock the 'Last Wish' achievement.

Alright, you've been through a lot to get here! Ogres, Trolls, even Gods – you've handled them all. Now, the journey's climax is just around the corner. Let's get this done.

First things first, head to the nearest Mystic Gateway. We need to travel back to Brok’s Shop, and then into the Realm Travel room. Once you're there, select Jötunheim. This time, Atreus will use Mimir’s head like a special crystal to open the path. Pretty wild, right?

Once you arrive in Jötunheim, it really lives up to its name – giants and towering peaks everywhere! You'll start by climbing stairs and heading out onto a bridge. Take a moment here; Kratos hands the ashes over to Atreus, and it's a pretty significant scene. Just soak it in.

Continue across the bridge and into the cave beyond. There are a bunch of things you can look at and some Lore Markers scattered around, so feel free to check them out. Keep moving forward, and more story will unfold, explaining why you're on this journey. You'll eventually exit through a hole in the wall. Follow the path to the edge – this is it, the moment to scatter the ashes.

After you complete this quest, you'll unlock the Last Wish achievement. Nice one!
