The Post Game in God of War (2018) offers new challenges and powerful upgrades. This section covers unlocking the full potential of the Shattered Gauntlet of Ages and exploring hidden areas.

The Shattered Gauntlet of Ages

To unlock the secret of the Shattered Gauntlet of Ages Talisman, you'll need to find all the Dragon Tears. You should have enough to upgrade it two levels by freeing all Dragons. The final Dragon Tear is found by visiting the remains of the Dragon in the Forgotten Caverns, near where you battled Baldur. After obtaining the final Dragon Tear, return to Brok’s Shop to upgrade the Talisman to its maximum level. This allows you to socket three Enchantments. Equipping three specific Enchantments unlocks a powerful hidden ability: an incredibly strong special attack during which you are invulnerable.

The six Enchantments to choose from are:

• Andvari’s Soul - Obtained from completing the Second Hand Soul Favor from Brok.
• Asgard’s Shard of Existence - Obtained from defeating the Valkyrie, Rota.
• Eye of the Outer Realm - Obtained in the Secret Chamber of Odin during the Escape from Helheim sequence.
• Ivaldi’s Corrupted Mind - Obtained from defeating the Valkyrie, Olrun.
• Muspelheim Eye of Power - Purchase from Brok’s shop after unlocking Muspelheim.
• Njord’s Temporal Stone - Obtained from defeating the ultimate boss.

Equipping any three of these will activate the Gauntlet's latent power, making it a primary Talisman due to its ability and three additional sockets.

Wildwoods Hidden Chamber of Odin

Return to the Wildwoods and climb the ledge at the back by burning away brambles. After dealing with high-level Draugr, use the Magic Chisel on the sealed door. Descend the stairs and take the elevator to the bottom, where a Mystic Gateway is located. After finding a coffin and some Hacksilver chests, you will encounter a Realm Tear. The main threat within is a Level 8 Revenant. The Shattered Gauntlet of Ages is highly effective here. Upon defeating the Revenant, you will obtain Pure Essence of the Realms, Dust of Realms, the Heart of Svartalfheim Legendary Enchantment, and 10,000 Hacksilver. A Lore Marker and a Raven can also be found in this area.

Alfheim’s Hidden Chamber of Odin

Travel to Alfheim via the Realm Travel room. Head to the Light Elf Sanctuary, dock your boat, and proceed through the southwest cave to find a sealed door. After unlocking it, take the elevator down and activate the Mystic Gateway. Collect the Hacksilver chest, coffin, and more Hacksilver chests before reaching the central chamber to face the Valkyrie, Olrun.

Defeat Olrun

Olrun is faster than previous Valkyries. Staying locked on and using the shield to block when dodging isn't possible is recommended. Her new attacks include a spinning attack that deals damage if not blocked, which can also shoot projectiles from a distance. She may follow up the spin with a Stab attack or pull you closer, making backward evasion preferable. Olrun also performs the usual Wing Combo followed by an unblockable punch, which should be dodged. Listen for the “Valhalla” shout to prepare for her Heel Stomp attack, a deadly move she performs only once.
