Chapter 9 - Opposing Wills

After the opening scenes of Chapter 9, return to Seedhollow.

Visit the Quest Counter to accept three new Normal Difficulty Quests: "On the Front Lines", "I See a Bloody Vision", and "The Saga Continues: Ice". Clearing "The Saga Continues: Ice" rewards you with your fifth possible Crewmate Card, which can be taken to Siero to recruit another playable character.

Talk to the Quest Counter Receptionist to view additional Fate Episodes for characters like Katalina, Io, and Rosetta.

Accept new Side Quests from clients around Seedhollow: "Bug Hunt", "A Barrold of My Own", "Red Hot Seller", "Out of Serpentine Spite", "Violent Requiem", and "Wrath of the Sword Veil". Most can be completed now, but "Wrath of the Sword Veil" must wait.

Head to the Seedhollow airship docks to visit Folca. Accept new Side Quests there: "The Gourmet Way", "Fresh Material", and "Save the Crustaceans".

Completing the Seedhollow Side Quest "Out of Serpentine Spite" rewards you with a Gold Key, which can open a locked Treasure Chest in Folca and two in Seedhollow.

While completing Side Quests, collect items from Collection Points and random Treasure Chests in both Folca and Seedhollow.

Return to Seedhollow and speak to Zathba in the Market Plaza to progress the story.

Approach the airship docks and speak with the Airship Engineer when you are ready to board the Grandcypher.

Speak with Rackam on the Grandcypher Deck to receive Rolan's Notes 8, which will be added to Lyria's Journal Archives.

Tell Rackam you are ready to depart to set off for the Pillar of Vayoi.

Explore the Pillar of Vayoi, collecting items from Treasure Chests and Collection Points. Be aware of the following items: Chest 1 (Dark Shard x4, ~125 Rupies, 2 MSP, Welkin Reflection), Chest 2 Shrouded (Champion Merit x1, ~3000 Rupies, 7 MSP, Dark Liquid), Chest 3 (Dark Shard x2, ~125 Rupies, Disast Ore), Chest 4 (Exploiter II, ~250 Rupies, Glitterstone (L)), Chest 5 (Rafale Coin x2, ~125 Rupies), Chest 6 (Fortitude Crystal (M), ~250 Rupies, 3 MSP), Chest 7 Omen Stone (Attack Power IV, ~3000 Rupies, 50 MSP, Dark Liquid), Chest 8 (Fortitude Crystal (S) x5, ~125 Rupies), Chest 9 Shrouded (Enmity III, ~3000 Rupies, 7 MSP), Chest 10 (Fortitude Crystal (S) x10, ~250 Rupies, 3 MSP), Chest 11 (Garrison II, ~250 Rupies), Chest 12 (Attack Power III, ~1400 Rupies, 7 MSP), Chest 13 (Fortitude Crystal (S) x10, ~250 Rupies, 3 MSP).

Collect Archive Entries: "Corrupted Letter" and "Eroded Stone Monument".

Find and rescue 2 Wee Pincers and 2 Slimes.

Encounter foes: Lvl 40 Keeper, Lvl ??? Ominous Form, Lvl 40 Watcher.

Navigate the Pillar: Drop from the initial path to a platform to find a Wee Pincer. Continue up the left side, jump a gap to find a Slime and Treasure Chest (1). Find Shrouded Treasure Chest (2) on the other side of a rock. Collect Archive Entry: "Corrupted Letter" before a left turn. Backtrack up a sloping rock to open Treasure Chest (3).

When the path is blocked by a Watcher, defeat the two appearing Keepers to reveal a Wormhole. Enter the Wormhole to defeat the Watcher in Angra Mainyu's dimension, then return through the Wormhole.

Continue up the path, collecting items from platforms on the right, including Treasure Chest (4).

Defeat another Watcher, then defeat the appearing Ominous Form x6 and two Keepers to access the Watcher in its dimension. Return to continue.

Open Treasure Chest (5) and utilize the nearby Hallowed Ground crystal.

Proceed to a large open area for a boss fight.
