Walkthrough
- 1Begin by creating Warthogs and upgrading your base. Attack Flood pods to the east of the base compound for needed supplies.
- 2Head east from your starting position to find Flood pods that can be attacked for supplies.
- 3You will start pinned down by Brute Forces (JiralHanae). Set up your Elephant tank so its turrets block the entryway to your alcove and produce as many forces as you need. Keep trying to break out, and a team of Spartans will arrive to help.
- 4To break out, sacrifice some supplies and carpet bomb a line of Brute Forces, aiming for a Brute Chopper if possible.
- 5Forge will question Serina about the lack of Covenant activity, and she will explain. Red Team will then drop in to provide support.
- 6While fighting Brutes, the other two Elephants (Echo and India squads) will be lost to unknown enemy forces. You are ordered to investigate and ensure the squads are okay.
- 7Set up your Elephant in the clearing to produce troops. To find the Black Box for this level, take a squad east to flank out and find it on a cliff near the starting point.
- 8Move west and follow the wreckage to find the missing Elephants and squads. Fight off the Flood and liberate your comrades, bringing them back to base. You must keep ALL 3 Elephants alive.
- 9Transport each Elephant to safe locations quickly, as they move slowly. Build up your base rapidly to repel enemy attacks.
- 10The Elephants are located due east and southeast of your first drop waypoint (a marker on your map you've manually placed as a destination), along a curving path downwards. Expect heavy resistance; flamethrowers are effective against Flood infantry and spores. Avoid spore clouds, as they can infect your infantry, turning them into Flood.
- 11Use Spartans for scouting, as they cannot be infected and are resistant to dying. Find enemy positions and liberate them while reinforcements arrive.
- 12Be cautious when exploring, as egg sacs contain supplies or infectious spores.
- 13Captain Cutter will request a report. Forge will state that Echo and India have been compromised by non-Brute forces.
- 14Liberate the first Elephant and transport it back to the new base. Set up your Elephants around the base for defense, essentially adding turrets.
- 15Hold off Flood troops until you establish a foothold, then move to rescue the other Elephant. Consider leaving your Elephants behind to produce Marines, allowing you to move faster.
- 16Your objectives are to save the Elephants and rescue all trapped Marines. After liberating both, retreat to end the mission.
Tips
- Flamethrowers are effective against Flood infantry and spores.
- Do not let your infantry get into spore clouds, or they will become infected and attack their comrades.
- Spartans are invaluable for scouting due to their inability to be infected and resistance to dying.
- Be careful when shooting egg sacs, as they may contain supplies or infectious spores.
- Leave your Elephants behind to produce Marines to move faster.
Black Box Location: On a cliff near the starting point, found by flanking east.
Skull Requirement: Kill 20 Flood Stalks.
Skull Location: Near where you rescue the Spartans, east of their crashed Warthog, next to a large Flood colony.

- Have all 5 Flood Colonies dormant at once (Optional): Damage all five colonies to stop spore production and weaken the boss colony.
