While not as mobile as the Anti-Tank role, Engineers can create formidable obstacles that significantly hinder enemy armor advances. The primary tools for this role are the M18 Claymore mine and the AT Mine. The AT Mine is a deployable explosive designed to detonate when a vehicle drives over it, delivering substantial damage. These are best placed on common vehicle routes, choke points, or near objectives that enemy armor is likely to assault. Careful placement is vital; burying them slightly or concealing them with foliage can increase their effectiveness by making them harder for enemy infantry to spot and disarm.

The M18 Claymore mine, while primarily an anti-infantry weapon, can also inflict damage on lighter vehicles or disable their tracks if detonated at close range. However, its true strength lies in its directional blast, making it ideal for defending specific approaches. When setting up defenses, consider the likely paths of enemy vehicles like the PT-76 or the M41 Walker Bulldog.
