Guide to completing the Project AEON walkthrough in I Hate This Place. Includes details on pursuing Adam, exploring tunnels, going above ground, and the final encounter.

This section of the walkthrough covers the Project AEON quest in I Hate This Place. It is not the Point of No Return, but the game is nearing its conclusion. Players can leave the final bunker at any time, but it is recommended to complete any remaining achievements before proceeding.

Recommended Items: Fuel x2, Electric Grenade x1. These can be found during exploration or crafted at the Ranch.

Achievement Reminder: Craft every weapon at the Workbench to get the 'Arsenal' achievement.

Pursuing Adam

Head northwest from the Forest, then north until you reach a gate. Use the key to enter. Shortly after, you will be attacked by the Broodmother and several smaller spiders. The Broodmother can spit tentacles to drag you in. Weapons like the Submachine Gun and Riot Shotgun are effective. Keep your distance and focus fire on the Broodmother if it grabs you. Explosives are less effective due to the Broodmother's movement.

Achievement: 'That’s a hell of a spider' is awarded upon defeating the Broodmother.

After the battle, head north to find a bunker entrance leading to a series of tunnels. Follow the path, fighting spiders and other enemies. You will find maps, save points, crafting stations, and lootable containers throughout the tunnels. Key actions include burning obstacles, using a Minecart Brake Lever with Fuel to activate a minecart, and using a Crank to open doors.

Exploring the Tunnels

Navigate the tunnel system, which involves fighting various spider types, tentacle men, and hazmat enemies. You will need to use items like Molotov Cocktails or Grenades to clear obstacles. Look for shortcuts and activate switches to make areas safe. Collect items like the Minecart Brake Lever and Fuel. Activating the minecart will lead to a Workbench and a shortcut door.

Continue through the tunnels, encountering more enemies and finding first-aid kits and loot. You will need to use the Crank on a machine to open doors. After opening the doors, proceed through them and climb a ladder to exit the tunnels.

Going Above Ground

Head northwest to find the Druid’s Hut. Loot the box to the left of the steps and use the Workbench. Inside the hut, you can find more loot, a Stove, and a note. The next room contains a save point and a bed, with a trapdoor that is currently inaccessible.
