Your friendly guide to P-2: WAIT OF THE WORLD in I Hate This Place. Learn about the areas, challenges, and how to conquer this tough Prime Sanctum.

Alright, so you're ready to tackle P-2: WAIT OF THE WORLD, huh? This is the second Prime Sanctum, and trust me, it's a big step up from the first one. Think of it as the game saying, "Okay, you've done pretty well, now let's see what you're *really* made of." You'll need to have earned a P-rank on every mission in Act II, and also completed P-1: SOUL SURVIVOR (no P-rank needed there, thankfully). The entrance is hidden behind a Perfect Door in [6-2: AESTHETICS OF HATE].

This level throws a lot at you: a super tough, multi-phase boss, plus a gauntlet of arenas with some seriously nasty enemy combinations. You'll see almost every non-story boss you've faced before. Let's break down the areas you'll be navigating.

Major Areas

Downtown of Dis

First up is the Downtown of Dis. It's a red-tinted palace where it literally rains blood. The windows are all stained red, giving it a real Heresy vibe. You can follow a clear path, or take a shortcut by climbing a wall in a narrow alleyway right when you enter.

Boss Shortcut

If you're looking to practice the boss fight without replaying the whole level, there's a shortcut. Head up to the first overhead bridge when you enter, then turn left. If you've seen the [Flesh Panopticon] before, a small door will open. This path has two rooms with flowing blood you'll need to grapple across using the [Blue Hookpoints]. At the end, you'll find a glass floor; shoot it to break through and land on the elevator straight to the boss. Just remember, for a P-rank, you still need to play the full level!

"Weezer Room" Cerberi Surprise Chamber

After about thirty seconds of walking, you'll reach the first arena. It's a small, dark room that triggers when you get close to the exit door. There's an invisible [Checkpoint] right at the entrance, so don't worry about losing much progress if things go south.

Suddenly, four [Cerberi] will appear when the lights come on. Once you take down two of them, a [Ferryman] shows up in the middle. After you clear out all the Cerberi, or defeat the Ferryman, two [Virtues] will appear outside the arena. You can't reach them until the main fight is over. Once you beat them, the door opens, and the level's theme kicks in as you head towards the Virtues.

Bridge Arena

This next area is larger, like a street. You'll find a Blue Pedestal on the left and a reusable [Checkpoint] on the right, which reactivates after you grab the [Blue Skull]. The two Virtues you saw earlier will be here too.

Your only way forward is to the right. Here's where it gets spicy: four [Schisms], a [Swordsmachine], two [Sentries], and a [Mindflayer] protected by an [Idol] will spawn. Now, that Idol is actually up ahead in the Plaza, which you can't get to yet. So, the Mindflayer is invincible for now – don't waste your ammo trying to kill it; you don't need to for progression.

Tiny Hallway

Get ready for a tight squeeze in this red-lit corridor. A [Cerberus] pops out ahead, and two [Streetcleaners] are coming up behind you. You'll need to deal with them quickly to get into the Plaza. The Mindflayer from the last encounter will also tag along here. There's another reusable [Checkpoint] ahead, but the path gets blocked before you can reach it, so don't get too comfortable.

Plaza

This area is where you'll finally find that [Idol] protecting the [Mindflayer] from the previous encounter. You'll need to take out the Idol first to make the Mindflayer vulnerable. Be careful, though, as this area often features some tough enemy spawns.
