Walkthrough

    At the end of the platform, drop down the open hatch into the water.

    Immediately swim right as fast as you can to evade the pursuing Mermaid.

    Surface and locate the rope hanging above the water.

    Jump to the rope and climb out of the water to make the Mermaid back away.

    Swing on the rope back and forth, then jump as far right as possible to gain distance from the Mermaid.

    Stay near the surface and look for another rope.

    Jump to this second rope to escape the Mermaid again.

    Climb to the top of the rope and use the ladder on the platform above to reach an upper platform.

    Move to the far right of this upper platform and perform a running jump into the water below.

    Quickly swim through the open doorway to the right.

    Move through the water upwards and to the right to find a platform on the surface.

    Climb onto this platform before the Mermaid catches you.

Warning: If the Mermaid catches you, she will grab and kill you. This encounter is similar to the chase sequences with Guard Dogs early in the game.
