Walkthrough
Understand the Just Cause 4 walkthrough structure, including mission order, region progression, and how to find specific objectives.
- 1The Just Cause 4 walkthrough is structured to allow for both linear progression and flexible exploration in the open world.
- 2Regions are unlocked using squads, which are earned by creating Chaos.
- 3The guide attempts to take regions requiring the least amount of squads first to avoid mandatory grinding.
- 4The walkthrough generally progresses by clearing adjacent regions after taking a main region, minimizing travel across the map.
- 5However, there are instances where the guide will move to a different side of the map to vary the experience and manage perceived difficulty increases in distant regions.
- 6Each sub-section typically lists required missions for a region first, followed by location-specific objectives and miscellaneous missions.
- 7Main story missions are listed at the bottom of each sub-section, allowing players to focus solely on the story if desired.
- If you want to 100% the game, follow the guide from beginning to end.
- If you prefer to forge your own path, the guide's structure is designed for easy navigation to specific objectives.
- To focus only on the main story, scroll to the bottom of a sub-section to find the main story mission.
- The guide aims to keep difficulty rising steadily by progressing through regions in a manageable order.

Walkthrough (2)
Learn how to navigate Just Cause 4's open world with this guide. Discover the structure for clearing regions, tackling missions, and progressing through the story efficiently.
Hey there! So, Just Cause 4 is a massive open-world game, which means you can pretty much go anywhere and do anything you want. That makes writing a traditional walkthrough a bit tricky, but I've laid out a path through the game that should help you 100% everything if you stick with it. If you prefer to forge your own path, I've structured the guide so you can easily jump to whatever you're looking for.
After the first few chapters, you'll notice a pattern: I'll list the missions needed to unlock a region, then we'll tackle all the local objectives and side missions in that area, and finally, we'll wrap it up with a main story mission if there is one.
The mission titles are a bit different here. The main story missions are listed first in each section. So, if you're just trying to push the story forward and save the side stuff for later, just find the mission you need and scroll to the bottom of that section.
If you want to follow my exact route, I've tried to make it as smooth as possible. You'll need squads to unlock new regions, and you get those by causing Chaos. I generally go for the regions that require the fewest squads first. This way, you shouldn't have to do a ton of grinding just to keep up with the guide.
As for which region I tackle next, it's mostly personal preference. I like to work my way through an area, taking adjacent regions. This also means you won't be crisscrossing the map too much. However, I don't stick to that for too long, and sometimes I'll jump to the other side of the map to start clearing regions there. Again, it's just my preference, but I figure the further you go, the harder the game gets, and I like to keep the difficulty rising steadily.
- The guide is structured to help you find what you need quickly.
- Main story missions are at the end of each region's section.
- Squads are earned through Chaos and are needed to unlock regions.
- The guide generally progresses through regions requiring fewer squads first.
- The path aims to minimize excessive back-and-forth travel across the map.
