Chapter 5: Eldest of the Black Rabbit Brotherhood

At Hotel Krat, talk to Sophia three times, Eugénie twice, Venigni (to get the Ergo Wavelength Decoder), and Alidoro. Then, talk to Geppetto.

At the Archbishop's Altar, continue past the boss room and lift the lever to ride down. Follow the path to a small cemetery on the left and check the middle coffin to obtain the Smiling Bunny Mark.

Note: It is technically possible to start the (DLC (downloadable content — extra missions or items released after launch)) now by examining the golden Stargazer, though not advised.

Continue forward, repair the Stargazer.

On the Path of the Pilgrim, go down the path and hug the right wall to a chest containing the Acidic Crystal Spear. Watch out for falling carcasses.

Continue through the wooded path, watching for bears. You will pass a pond on the right where a Dark moon Moonstone of the Covenant drops from a Dimensional Butterfly.

Once you reach the Tomb Slums, follow the rooftops. Check the ledge to obtain Wanted: Black Rabbit Brotherhood.

Continue along the upper level and drop into the building. Press the button to open the door, then lift the lever to go up.

Search the ground by the boxes to obtain Scribbles of Slum Resident. Press the button to open the shortcut, then go back down the lift.

Note: If you step off early, you can find a Dark moon Moonstone of the Covenant on the roof.

Continue along the ground level path to the gate for a surprise. Defeat the Axe Carcass to get the Slum Shack Key.

Open the shack (watch for enemies) and open the chest to obtain the Belford Superior Corrosion Resistance Converter.

Continue down the path to a stone bridge, watching for ambushes from the sides.

Cross the stone bridge at Hobbler's Bridge and defeat the enemy emerging from the gate.

Go through the gate, hug the right wall, and search the body to obtain Sweepers Branch Office Newspaper Archives.

Continue up the steps and carefully drop to the bottom of the tower. Go through the tunnel and repair the Stargazer.

In Malum District, return to Hotel Krat.

At Hotel Krat, talk to Pulcinella, choose "Request appraisal of collectibles," and then "Smiling bunny mark" to get the Crescent Moonstone.

Return to Malum District. Talk to Red Fox and choose "Accept offer." Red Fox and Black Cat will follow and assist you, but will leave before sections where they are most needed.

Continue through the street, letting the NPCs help. After defeating a jug lady in a bar, drop through the floor in a side room.

Open the chest to obtain the Arch Break Cartridge. Search the body next to the stairs to obtain "Have a taste of La Bleiwies, the greatest wine in the world!".

Go up the steps and press the button to return to the bar. Continue up the steps back onto the street; your friends will leave here.

Continue to a large area with enemies on the ground and rooftops. It is suggested to run past the pyre on the right, then look for a ladder past the building on the left to take out enemies on rooftops first.

Look for a chest on the roof past a rooftop enemy to obtain the Bone-Cutting Saw. A Balance Crank drops from a Dimensional Butterfly on the rooftops.

Defeat an Elite Carcass to obtain the Patience Amulet.

Search the building facing the pyre for a chest containing Quartz.

Go through the alley past the ladder, keep to the left, go inside, and climb the ladder. Pick up the receiver and choose "Candle" to get the Trinity Key.

Go outside and down the ladder. Press the button to open the shortcut.

Go up the steps and follow the street until you can enter Red Lobster Inn (be careful, it's full of enemies).

Ignore the stairs going up for a moment and enter the side room. Search the draped couch to obtain Monad Charity House Guide. Press the button to open the shortcut.

Turn around and climb the ladder partially hidden by barrels. Talk to the Malum District Black Market Trader. Choose "Show the Black Rabbit Brotherhood Mark."

The Malum District Black Market Trader sells: Sawtoothed Wheel (Throwing Objects, ∞, 90), Saw Blade (Throwing Objects, ∞, 470), Sharp Pipe (Throwing Objects, ∞, 470), Cluster Grenade (Throwing Objects, ∞, 470), Shot Put (Throwing Objects, ∞, 470), Thermite (Throwing Objects, ∞, 400), Throwing Cell (Throwing Objects, ∞, 400), Carcass Body Fluid Bottle (Throwing Objects, ∞, 400), Fire Canister (Throwing Objects, ∞, 550), Electric Blitz Canister (Throwing Objects, ∞, 550), Acid Canister (Throwing Objects, ∞, 550), Fire Abrasive (Consumable, ∞, 620), Electric Blitz Abrasive (Consumable, ∞, 620), Acid Abrasive (Consumable, ∞, 620), Bramble Curved Sword (Weapon, 1, 2,000), Arch Shock Cartridge (Cartridge, 1, 1,400), and Someday (Records, 1, 3,800).

Open the chest to obtain the Legion Caliber.

Go back to St. Frangelico's Cathedral Library. Ride the lift up and cross the wheels to the boulder tunnel. Climb the ladder and dodge boulders in the new section. Open the door with the Trinity Key to open a safe containing the Black Cat's Amulet and Monster Sweeper's Hunting Apparel.

Return to Malum District, enter Red Lobster Inn, hug the left wall up the steps to a new area. Say hi to Red Fox and Black Cat as you pass under them. It is highly recommended to summon a Specter for this fight.

Open the door to the boss arena and defeat the Eldest of the Black Rabbit Brotherhood.
