Master the foosball challenge against Steph in Life is Strange: True Colors. Learn controls, strategies, and dialogue choices to become the Foosball Champion.

Unable to take the heightened emotions in the bar, Alex runs upstairs to her room, and Steph comes up to check on her. Respond how you want, and Steph will offer some words of comfort. Another small dialogue choice, and the lengthy cutscene will continue until Steph's sadness will get the better of her. Go over to her and hold A (X) to get a better read on her, and then five more objects will be revealed to be tied to this emotion: The bottle on the fireplace, the video game by the TV, the record player, the foosball table, and the glass on the shelf in the kitchen area. Hold the button on each one, and then go back over to Steph to help her out.

You're given four dialogue choices here. You can pick any of them, and the wrong answers will bring you back to the remaining choices. The correct answer is "foosball". Alex will challenge Steph, and then after another choice (either is fine), it's once again game on!

Controls: Each of the shoulder buttons will move a different row of players. The left two buttons control the two rows on the left, and the opposite for the right. The bumpers (L1 and R1) move your two middle rows and the triggers (L2 and R2) move the outer rows. (Also, the controls are on the bottom of the screen.) Don't worry if the controls come slowly to you. Steph's clearly not feeling herself right now, and is pretty easy to beat. In fact, I actually don't think it's possible to lose this game, even if you set the controller down. Steph is really half-assing it, and after the game, Alex calls her out on this. Both of the following dialogue options will help to raise Steph's mood and put her head in the game for a rematch.

She displays a noticeable increase in her aggression for round two. Win or lose this one, Steph will declare one final match for the title of "Foosball Champion", which incidentally is another Minor Decision.

Minor Decision: Foosball Champion Rematch

Here's where she really starts amping up the distractions and doubling down on the trash talk, in addition to flat out playing smarter. Good luck! It may be obvious, but winning or losing this third round are the two possible outcomes of this Minor Decision, and will be logged in your choices!

Note on Romance: One of the distractions may play a small part in adding, shall we say, "trust points" into Steph's corner. She'll ask Alex if she's into guys or girls. Answering "Both" may give one point into her log, and saying "Girls" may net you two points. The "Girls" choice does not lock you out of romancing Ryan.

After the game, Steph will bring the conversation back to what Mac said during the wake, about not receiving a call. Pick which answer you think would be best to end the scene.
