Walk through Mafia III's "Why Take the Chance?" heist mission. Learn how to pick up keys, get the armored truck, and drive to the Federal Reserve with Lincoln Clay.

Alright, so you've prepped for the big score, and now it's time to make your move into the vault. This is the very first section of the game where you'll be playing as Lincoln Clay, teaming up with Giorgi Marcano for a heist. You'll face a choice here, but don't sweat it too much – it doesn't really change anything in the long run.

You're in New Bordeaux, Louisiana, on February 27, 1968, right in the middle of Mardi Gras.

♦ Pick Up the Keys

First things first, you need the keys to get that truck rolling. Just head across the room to the door and hold ⬜ to open it. Inside, you'll find a dead guard and another one tied to a chair. This guy's in on the heist and took out his partner to make it look legit, plus he set you up with the truck. Now comes your decision: do you trust him, or do you take him out to make sure he can't spill the beans later? It's a small choice with no real impact on the story. To off him, just walk up and hold O. If you'd rather leave him be, just ignore him.

Either way, make your way to the back of the room and pick up the keys off the floor by holding ⬜.

♦ Get in the Armored Truck

This truck is your key to getting into the Federal Reserve. Head back to the room with Giorgi. He'll tell you it's your turn to drive. You need to leave the building through the west door, then walk over to the truck and hold ⬜ to hop in. Giorgi will join you shortly.

♦ Drive to the Federal Reserve

The Federal Reserve, and more importantly, the vault, is your target. The route will be clearly marked on your minimap while you're driving. Plus, keep an eye out for signs on the right side of the road at every intersection – they'll tell you exactly where to turn, so you won't even need to stare at the minimap.

As you drive, Lincoln and Giorgi will chat about the guard situation and Lincoln's Vietnam experiences, using them to justify his actions, no matter what you decided. Giorgi will also mention that you won't be able to bring a weapon inside. When you arrive, a cutscene will kick in, so don't worry about parking – you'll end up right in the garage. Just press ⬜ to exit the truck.
