Part 6

Guide to defeating the Sea Pipe Statue and Stone Blooper bosses in Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story. Learn strategies and tips for this part of the walkthrough.

BOSS: Stone Blooper

• HP/C. Medal: 320 / ---
• EXP: 30
• Coins: 0
• Item Drops: None
• Attacks: Aerial Tackles (Hammer counters), Ground-Pound (Jump to dodge), Drill (unavoidable, damages Bowser for 8 HP).
• Notices: This is from Mario and Luigi's perspective.

Strategy:

1. Begin by Vacuuming the Stone Blooper into Bowser. It will damage Bowser with a Drill attack.
2. Have Mario and Luigi spam Green Shell to maximize damage while Bowser has the Blooper.
3. Counter every single move possible.
4. After countering the tackle when the Stone Blooper turns red, it will fly out and impale the statue.
5. Have Bowser punch it until it reasserts itself atop the statue.
6. Repeat the process from the beginning.

After the battle, the statue returns to normal and spews water. Bowser drinks it, affecting his body. You will switch to Mario and Luigi.

Bowser's World Map

1. Head to the Pump Works.

Pump Works

1. Upon arrival, the area will be flooded. Use timed A/B jumps (simultaneous is preferable) to swim higher. Go to the nearby platform to the right and proceed to the next area.
2. Save in this room and break the ? blocks for a Retry Clock and three Mushrooms. Go to the three nearby pipes and take the center one.
3. In this room, bop the ? block to find a series of M's and L's. Memorize this five-block pattern. Have Mario hit the 'M' blocks and Luigi hit the 'L' blocks. This will yield the first Pump Works Attack Piece. Return to the previous area.
4. Further ahead, you'll find large blue Bloopers (only present when the water level is up). Defeat them if desired, then go right to the next area.
5. Hit the multicolored block to receive another Attack Piece. Continue along the path to a wall (bone?) blocking a switch on the left.
6. Switch to Bowser to drain the water, then switch to Mario to hammer the switch. A platform will disappear.
7. Proceed right to another wall. Have Bowser start drinking again. Make Mario swim onto the nearby platform, then stop Bowser's drinking. Have Mario hit the switch, then have Bowser resume drinking.
8. Go to the top-right corner and through the pipe. Follow its path to find two ? blocks containing ten Coins and a Mushroom. Return to the second area of the Pump Works.
9. In this area, bop the ? blocks for a total of 15 Coins and a 1-Up Mushroom. Go left to find a switch on the left; hit it with the hammer to remove a platform.
10. A Save Block is located up there; use it if needed. Return to the room east of here and go down the pipe.
11. You'll find another Save Block here; use it if you missed the previous one. For now, proceed right to the next area.
12. Upon arrival, swim upwards to find two Attack Pieces in the blocks. Return to ground level and go right.
13. Go up and slightly left from there to reach a fork. Take the northern branch to find an Attack Piece, then continue to the next room.
14. Skip everything and head directly right to the next room. In that room, go to the top-right corner, hit the ! block, then proceed right into the next room.
