STRUT A SCENTLESS BOMB (EXTREME ONLY)

If playing on Extreme, stand at the northwest corner of the water near the ladder, facing south.

In first-person view, look up along the right wall, well above the grey shelf.

Freeze the C4 high up on the beam.

After Raiden reports the bomb threat is over, head back to the elevator room.

Proceed forward for a cutscene (a non-interactive cinematic the game plays automatically) (a cinematic event).

Fortune, also known as "Lady Luck", arrives via the elevator.

You cannot defeat Fortune; this encounter is about survival.

Try your best to take cover (press the cover button to crouch behind walls or objects) (a mechanic to hide behind objects) with any object you can find and quickly find another when it gets destroyed.

Stay away from the gas barrels, which will explode from Fortune's blasts.

Other objects may fly once hit enough and can knock you down.

Note the two boxes of SOCOM BULLET X 12 in the middle and right of the center area, and a RATION to the left.

After some time, the elevator will beep and start descending.

Continue avoiding Fortune's blasts until the elevator arrives.

The two large crates towards the camera are useful for hiding late in the fight; stay behind them.

Campbell will call to inform you about Fatman, who has placed C4 on the heliport (Strut E) with a 400-second timer.

The battle with Fortune ends in a cutscene.

After the cutscene, Raiden makes his way back up the elevator.

Take note of the 400-second timer and proceed to the roof of Strut E.

Equip the Mine Detector if you have it to spot two CLAYMORE mines by each of the two gates on the Strut A roof; crawl over them to get past safely while collecting them.

Proceed inside on either side.

In the Strut A Pump Room, take out the guard stretching at the bottom of the stairs on the west side.

Be mindful of the guard on the east side of the office area.

Use the knocking method or eliminate the guard and advance to the FA bridge on the right side.

On the FA connecting bridge, a lone guard patrols; he will move down to the lower level.

Enter Strut F warehouse.

Wait for the guard around the corner to turn, then take him out.

Quickly take the left path to avoid the guard on the right.

Leave through the north door.

On the EF connecting bridge, pass through to Strut E.

In Strut E Parcel Room, take out the left guard or dash quickly along the wall to reach the stairs.

Head out to the roof.

Find the stairs up to the helipad on Strut E; SOCOM BULLET X 12 is at the top.

There is a live C4 on the helipad marked "H", which your timer is tracking.

Pull out the Coolant and freeze the C4.

Enjoy the cutscene and meet Fatman.

Fatman will plant bombs that you must freeze before the timer counts down.

He plants two bombs initially, then three as the fight progresses.

Keep Sensor A equipped to locate the C4s on your minimap (the small circular map in the bottom-left corner of your screen) (a small map display, often in a corner of the screen).

The first C4 is to the east on small crates near the ledge.

The other C4 is to the west, on the south side of the crate where the radar (your minimap with nearby blips and threats marked) cloud is.

Freeze the C4s as soon as possible and shoot Fatman when he is near.

To defeat Fatman non-lethally: punch, kick, and roll him to down him, then shoot him in the head with the M9. Shoot him in the head whenever he stands still.

For a lethal kill, use the SOCOM.

You must hit Fatman four times in a row with the SOCOM to knock him down, or punch/kick him.

He will rise to his hands and knees with stars over his head; shoot him then.
