Metro 2033: Turn Off the Generator Guide

Alright, let's get this generator shut down. It's not too tricky, but you'll want to be stealthy about it. We're going back the way we came for a bit, so pay attention.

Walkthrough

First off, turn around and head back to that intersection we passed earlier. Keep going straight until you see a turn-off on your right. Take that right.

You'll see a lamp here. Your first objective is to extinguish the lamp.

After that, sneak down the passage on your left. At the next junction, turn left again. Be careful not to bump into any cans – they'll make noise and alert enemies.

Wait for the enemies ahead to split up a bit. Then, sneak across the wooden scaffolding. You'll see another lamp; extinguish this one too.

Now, sneak down the wooden ramp on your right. You'll need to carefully edge around some cans here. Your goal is to unscrew the lightbulb.

Once the bulb is out, sneak around the cans again and hug the wall. Head straight along it until you reach a metal gate. Open it up.

Inside this small room, you'll find a Medkit and some bullets. Grab them.

Now, sneak along the wall again and go up the ramp.

Sneak back down the ramps to the ground level. There's an enemy here. You can either knock them out or kill them.

Extinguishing the lamp down here is optional, but if you want to be extra quiet, go for it.

Next, sneak over to the campfire. There's another enemy here you'll need to deal with – either knock them out or kill them.

Now, make your way over to the subway tracks and go left. You need to wait here for a guard to walk into the doorway on your left.

Once he's in the doorway, sneak up behind him and knock him out or kill him.

There's another guard sitting by the generator itself. You need to take him out immediately after the first one.

Over by the campfire, you'll find a Duplet shotgun with an ergonomic grip, some shotgun ammo, and some extra bullets.

Finally, go over to the generator and turn it off.
