Alright, so you've made it to Route 22! This is a pretty important spot because you'll find some new Pokemon here, and more importantly, you're about to have another showdown with your Rival. Let's get you prepped.

First things first, let's talk about what you can catch. Down on the ground, you'll see some tall grass. If you head to the brick path just below it and follow it all the way to the left, you can snag 5 Poke Balls. Grab those, then head back towards the tall grass.

Now, if you head north of that tall grass and then west, you're going to run into your Rival. They're ready for another battle, and this one's a bit tougher than the last, so make sure your Pokemon are in good shape!

Rival Battle Details:

The Pokemon your Rival uses depends on which starter you picked.

• If your starter is Pikachu: Your Rival will have a Level 3 Pidgey (Normal/Flying) with Tackle and Sand Attack, and a Level 7 Eevee (Normal) with Tackle and Quick Attack. You'll earn $140 for winning.
• If your starter is Eevee: Your Rival will have a Level 3 Pidgey (Normal/Flying) with Tackle and Sand Attack, and a Level 7 Pikachu (Electric) with Thunder Shock and Quick Attack. You'll also earn $140 for this victory.

After you've defeated your Rival, there isn't much else to do on Route 22 for now. Your next move is to head back to Viridian City. If you need to heal up your Pokemon, do it there. Then, you'll want to head north out of town to continue your journey onto Route 2.
