Defeat Zubat and Koffing in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky using Pikachu's Electric moves. Learn about team formation and the start of Chapter 2.
Walkthrough
- 1If you have Pikachu, focus its Electric moves on Zubat, as Zubat is weak to them.
- 2Have your other Pokémon focus on Koffing.
- 3Warning: Prioritize defeating Zubat first because it has the move Leech Life, which absorbs HP.
- 4Once Zubat is defeated, switch your focus to Koffing.
- 5If you brought a seed, throw it at Zubat first before engaging.
- 6After defeating Zubat and Koffing, they will run away, dropping your partner's treasure.
- 7Your partner will then talk to you about wanting to become an explorer at the local guild to investigate a mysterious stone.
- 8Your partner will ask you to join up in a team; you must say "yes" to progress. Saying "no" will not allow you to proceed.
- 9Chapter 1 will end after you agree to form a team.
- 10You and your partner will head to Wigglytuff's Guild.
- 11A sentry will have trouble identifying your footprint due to your rare species.
- 12You will be allowed inside the guild.
- 13Inside, you and your partner will go down a floor.
- 14Chatot will greet you and take you to Guildmaster Wigglytuff.
- 15After some talking, you will choose a name for your team, or use the default "PokéPals". The game automatically adds "Team" to your chosen name.
- 16You will receive a Treasure Bag, which can hold up to 16 items. It will initially contain two items: a stat-boosting Band and a colored bow.
- 17You will receive your team badge, which updates based on missions completed.
- 18You will receive the Wonder Map, which shows explored areas.
- 19Chatot will show you to your room in the guild.
- 20Your partner will discuss the day's events.
- 21Loudred will wake you up for an assembly.
- 22After Wigglytuff's speech and the guild motto, Chatot will direct you to the Job Boards.
- 23Chatot will explain mystery dungeons, where floor layouts change and fainting results in losing money (Poké) and items.
- 24Chatot will assign you a job: retrieving a Spoink's pearl.
- 25You will enter Drenched Bluff, a dungeon with 6 floors (bottom floor is 7F).
- 26Dominant types in Drenched Bluff are various, with 50% being part Rock-type.
- 27You will encounter throwing items like Geo Pebbles, which deal 10 damage. Using L+R can activate a shortcut for them.
- 28Using a move on an enemy grants extra EXP; killing with a thrown item only yields 50% of the EXP.
- 29Avoid using Water-type moves against Shellos, as its Storm Drain ability negates Water-type move damage.
- 30Shellos is weak to Electric and Grass moves and strong against Fire-types.
- 31Other Pokémon encountered include Anorith, Lileep, and Chingling.
- 32Anorith is Rock-type, weak to Water and Grass moves, and strong against Fire and Normal moves.
- 33Lileep is Grass-Rock type, weak to Fire moves, and resistant to Water/Grass moves. Electric/Normal moves do half damage against Lileep.
- 34Chingling is not a significant threat, but beware of its Wrap move.
- 35Upon reaching the final floor (7F) of Drenched Bluff, you will pick up Spoink's pearl.
- 36You will automatically return to the guild.
- 37Spoink will be very happy, and you will receive a reward.
