Enemies are significantly more dangerous, resources are scarcer than ever, and survival is a constant, precarious struggle. In Nightmare Mode, the pursuit of all 47 Secrets, including the 18 Masks for the Beneath the Mask trophy, the 20 Posters for the A Proper Gander trophy, and the 5 Hidden Statues for the Prayer for the Dying trophy, becomes an epic undertaking. The 5 Critters for the Critter Kill Hit trophy and the 5 Coffins, which are absolutely essential for the secret ending and the Friends Reunited trophy, will be found in the most perilous locations, often heavily guarded and requiring immense skill to obtain.

In Nightmare Mode, every encounter is a potential death sentence. Enemies possess devastating attack power, exceptional durability, and often appear in overwhelming numbers.
