Walkthrough

    From the Sanctuary, head right to find the Link of Fire and Sky (Ring).

    Exit left from the Sanctuary and go all the way left to a wall. Press the Circle button against the wall to reveal a hidden door.

    Go through the hidden door and pick up the Stone Merchant and Pack of Salt.

    Head back in and climb the ladder. At the top, pick up Forestfang (10). Head left to go outside.

    Outside, defeat the Vilehawk on the platform above and the Retchfeeder that spawns below it. Continue left and defeat the next Vilehawk (2).

    Drop down using the three platforms near the obelisk. Jump left to a platform with a skeleton. Walk left until leaves obscure your character, then press Circle to pick up the Crystal Sphere.

    Head back right and drop down to the lower platform. Get to the lower left platform to pick up the Plated Band (Ring).

    Use the collapsing floors to the left to hop over and enter the doorway on the left.

    Inside, light your Torch. At the end of the wooden platform, pick up the Light (Prayer).

    Head back outside and jump back to the previous platform. You must now go down and backtrack to the Sanctuary using the ladder you previously skipped.

    Return to the area with the black obelisk. Clear any respawned Vilehawks and Retchfeeders.

    Before heading up the stone steps, notice the thin stone pillars. There are Vilehawks (2) at the top of these pillars. As you approach the leftmost pillar with a torch, Retchfeeders (2) will spawn. Climb up to defeat the Vilehawks and collect the Forestfang (10) on the third pillar.

    Continue left, jump the gap, and proceed until you hit a ladder. The doorway to your left is locked. Head up the ladder to grab the Stone Leader.

    You are now positioned to proceed to the boss fight. You may return to the Sanctuary to level up or prepare.
Tips
  • The Vilehawk and Retchfeeder enemies may respawn.
  • The Light (Prayer) is a decent light source if you lack others and have the skill, but the Torch generally offers better visibility.
  • The upcoming boss is a melee user who jumps around; usual enchantments should suffice for preparation.
