Walkthrough

    Approach the Sanctuary (a type of checkpoint (an auto-save point you restart from on death)) and speak with the Blacksmith NPC (non-player character — anyone the game controls, not you). He can be summoned to any Sanctuary if you have a Stone Blacksmith Offering.

    The Sanctuary is currently claimed by The Three Creed. You can take the oath at the altar to earn the "The Three" trophy if this is your first time. Warning: Taking this oath will make you an apostate with your current Creed, preventing you from rejoining it and potentially affecting NPC interactions. You can be an apostate with multiple Creeds.

    The Blacksmith can upgrade armor and weapons to a maximum level of 7, though initially only to level 2. Upgrades typically require a Lock of Hair or Endless Fangs, and Salt. The Blacksmith also sells the Teuthis Shield for 500 gold.

    Behind the Blacksmith, you can find the Blacksmith's Set armor. The Blacksmith's Gloves offer a hidden Strength boost.

    Exit the Sanctuary to the right and descend the ladder. Jump over a Spike Trap Wire (a black semi-circle on the ground with a visible wire) to the right.

    Continue right, jumping on stone platforms. Reach the third platform, out of camera view, and jump left into a small room containing the Kureimoa (Greatsword).

    Return outside and drop back down. Head through the doorway to the right. Defeat the Drowned Bandit and two more that spawn.

    On the platform, defeat the Stone Leader. Another Bronze Knight on the platform above may attack and drop a Conduit of Mind (Ring). Defeat the Knight.

    Continue upwards. You will reach the stone steps with the Arrow Wire Trap. To the left, the Feral Beasts (2) and Drowned Archer have respawned.

    Jump up to where the bow is and pick up the Bundle of Salt that was previously skipped.

    Continue right to a ledge with collapsing floors. Before jumping, defeat the Drowned Archer on the single solid platform halfway across.

    Continue hopping across the collapsing platforms to reach the end, where a Fused Metal Ring is located.

  • The Kureimoa Greatsword is a powerful melee weapon, though it is heavy and requires two hands, meaning you cannot use a shield.
  • The Blacksmith's Gloves from the Blacksmith's Set provide a hidden Strength boost, beneficial for Strength scaling weapons.
  • Gold is abundant; do not hesitate to spend it on items like the Teuthis Shield.
  • The Beggar sells Stained Pages for Arcane enchantments, which can provide a damage boost.
