Road to Silent Hill

Follow this detailed walkthrough for Silent Hill 2 (Remake) to find your way from the car to Silent Hill, including key locations like the graveyard and Silent Hill Ranch.

Alright, let's get you on the road to Silent Hill. After the opening cutscene, you'll be in control of James. First things first, look to your left towards the car. Head over to the driver's seat – you'll find a map there.

Grab that map! You can open it anytime using D-Pad Up. It's your best friend for figuring out where to go. Now, we need to head towards the graveyard. Follow the path until you see a sign that says Toluca Lake. Keep going until you reach a well.

Inside this well, there's a red square. This is your save point, so make sure to use it whenever you get the chance. Once you've saved, continue on the path until you reach the gates of the graveyard. Go on in; a cutscene will play.

When you regain control of James, check your map. You'll want to head towards the wall on the left. There's a gate there that will let you get closer to Silent Hill. Follow this path until the map indicates you're at Silent Hill Ranch. You'll pass an old truck and then enter the ranch area. Keep moving, and you'll bypass a sawmill. Not long after that, you'll see a building on your left – it looks like an auto parts place.

Head through the gate door. Near the entrance, you'll find a note:

After reading that, go left from where you entered and around the corner. You should see a window you can enter by pressing X/A. Once inside, make your way to the desk in front of you. The key is in the drawer to the right, near the lamp. Interact with the drawer to get the key. Now, head to the door on the right, unlock it, and go back outside. Go through the gate door and towards the red gate. Use the key you just found to unlock the door in the red gate.

On the other side, you'll eventually reach a blocked-off tunnel and a path to your right. If you check out the tunnel before taking the right path, you'll trigger an item called Glimpse of the Past. We'll cover those in more detail later. For now, take the path to the right until you reach another tunnel-like area. Go under and through the gate marked
