Defending the Base

Learn how to defend your base in Smite by clearing super minions, protecting phoenixes, and using defensive structures effectively during late-game battles.

If your team is on the defensive in the late game, focus on clearing super minions, protecting your phoenixes, and making picks on overextended enemies. Use your defensive structures (towers, phoenixes, Titan) to your advantage. Don't engage in unfavorable fights outside your base. Look for opportunities to turn the tide with a well-placed ultimate or a coordinated counter-engage. Sometimes, a single successful defense can lead to a comeback victory by allowing your team to secure Fire Giant.
