Master Spelunky 2 with our comprehensive Trophy Guide. Learn how to unlock every achievement, from 'You Got This' to 'The Full Spelunky', with detailed strategies and tips.

This guide details how to unlock all trophies in Spelunky 2. Most trophies are self-evident or earned naturally during gameplay. Trophies requiring special effort are elaborated upon below.

The Full Spelunky
Obtain all other trophies.

You Got This
Unlock the entrance in a non-seeded run.

Feels Good
Make it past 1-4 in a non-seeded run.

Skills Improving
Make it past Olmec's Lair in a non-seeded run.

Persistent
Reach the Ice Caves in a non-seeded run.

Journeyman
Complete the game in a non-seeded run.

Ironman
Complete the game without using shortcuts in a non-seeded, single-player run.

Speedlunky
Complete the game in 10 minutes or less without using shortcuts in a non-seeded, single-player run.
Be aware that pausing the game does not pause the timer, although waiting on the level transition screen does. As there are 18 stages in a regular playthrough of the game, you will need to keep a pace of around 30 seconds per stage. Do not attempt this unless you're confident you can reliably clear stages of every world in that time. Use the shortcuts to practice each world until you're comfortable there.
Earning this trophy may require a departure from your usual strategies. You will need to run past most of the gold and items that normally improve your odds of survival. Technically this trophy can be completed with only your basic whip, four Ropes, and four Bombs, but it's rather difficult. I recommend stealing from the shops in 1-2 and 1-3 to outfit yourself for the rest of the playthrough. Try to get some Bombs and Paste or just grab the Shopkeeper's Shotgun. Leave the Shopkeepers alive so you can be forgiven, because you don't want to be dodging angry Shopkeepers your whole run.
Olmec's Lair can be completed fastest by learning to dig a straight hole with him. Olmec himself is 4 tiles wide, but he can destroy a 5 tile wide space, which leaves you enough space to not be crushed. Simply run into Olmec's side until he rises into the air, then retreat to the small half-block of space next to him until he's landed. Repeat until the bottom layer, where you will want to immediately turn back in Olmec's direction to land on his head. Then run for the exit before his second phase begins.
Tiamat is the other boss you will need to rush. I recommend carrying a Shotgun through the whole game to defeat her, or grabbing one from the bodyguards on 6-3.

Low Scorer
Complete the game with no gold in a non-seeded, single-player run.
Although not noted in the description, your run cannot use shortcuts. This is somewhat more difficult than the speedrun trophy.
Use the whip or a fireball from a Rock Dog to push gold out of your path. Avoid using the Shotgun which can bounce gold back at you. You can use a rock or other thrown object to pull gold or other objects back toward you. Avoid using Bombs or anything else that destroys blocks, which comes with the risk of gold and gems flying out at you. If you have to use Bombs, aim only for tiles with no visible gold or gems in them. Olmec is an especially risky fight. I found it best to back far away from Olmec everytime he crushed the ground.
You will probably want to steal from the Shopkeeper in 1-2 or 1-3, then let him live and try to be forgiven. Since the Shopkeeper drops gold on death, you don't want to have to play hopscotch around every level exit. Equipping a Jetpack is recommended for precision control over where you land. Avoid going Jungle because of all the foliage that covers up gold. Kill Hired Hands on sight if you get one by accident.
Dark levels are particularly difficult because not only is it more difficult to see, but Scarabs and wall torches are added sources of gold to worry about. Also watch out for Scarabs when walking through backroom doors, and use the invincibility frames to avoid collecting them if necessary. Note that using a Camera on a Scarab gives you its gold.

Pilgrim
Reach the Sunken City in a non-seeded, single-player run.

Master
Complete the game by defeating Hundun in a non-seeded, single-player run.

Awakened
Reach the Cosmic Ocean in a non-seeded, single-player run.

Excavator
Complete the Moon Challenge in a non-seeded run.

Torchbearer
Complete the Star Challenge in a non-seeded run.

Survivor
Complete the Sun Challenge in a non-seeded run.

Millionare
End a run with $1,000,000 or more in a non-seeded, single-player run.
Ghosting Tusk's vault brings in $600000 to $700000. Completing the game adds $100000 to your score. Therefore you will need to pick up around $300000 by the time you reach 6-3. This is achievable simply by scouring every level for gold and limiting your spending. Golden Idols and Ghost Pots help too.
Though not necessary, starting Sparrow's questline is a good idea so that you can grab Tusk's Idol for $40000. You can use the Clone Gun on that to quadruple it to $160000, or you can save the Clone Gun for other targets like chests. If you take the Temple route instead, the City of Gold is an obvious target. There, every block destroyed is worth $875, and there's an abundance of pots of gold to collect.
