Mission: Find S.H.I.E.L.D

Guide to beating Electro in Spider-Man: Web of Shadows. Learn his attack patterns, when to strike, and how to survive the chase through the city and power plant.

Alright, so things are getting pretty serious in the city – it's like a full-blown epidemic, and you need to get to the S.H.I.E.L.D. quarantine center. It'll be marked on your map, so just head over there. As soon as you arrive, you'll run into Black Widow, and it looks like you're about to get cuffed. But hold up! Just as that's about to happen, a totally unhinged Electro shows up, looking to bust into the quarantine center himself. Get ready for a chase and a big fight!

Electro is going to be zipping through the city streets like a lightning bolt, seriously fast. He's got two main tricks he cycles through: sometimes he'll just bolt away from you, and honestly, when he's doing that, he's pretty much invincible. Your only real shot at hurting him is when he switches tactics. He'll start setting up these electric barriers all over the place and try to zap you with projectiles. What you need to do is wait for him to set up those barriers, then find the obvious gap in them – there's always one – and jump right through. While you're in the air, hit him with a web strike. Once you land close to him after the strike, mash out some punches and kicks to really pile on the damage.

Eventually, this whole chase is gonna lead you to one of the quarantine zones, and Electro's gonna smash his way right in. You'll have to deal with a few regular enemies hanging out outside before Electro decides to show his face again. When he does come back, he'll be moving even faster than before. Keep chasing him down, and after a bit, he'll stop on some train tracks for another showdown. This is your prime opportunity to dish out some serious damage, so go all out with the same strategy you've been using. When he's nearly defeated, he'll make one last stop at another quarantine zone before taking off again. Finally, he'll make his way to a power plant, where you'll need to nail a quick Quick Time Event (QTE) to finally put a stop to him – for now, at least. Beating Electro officially wraps up this mission.
