Master Team Fortress Classic Part 10 with strategies for Spies, Engineers, and Flagrun. Learn Engineer build spots and Sniper perches.
Walkthrough:
- Spies: Shoot anyone suspicious if friendly fire (FF) is off. Spies often favor attackers, and while SGs (Sentry Guns) are effective, they cannot deal with Spies, making this your primary job.
- Medic: Infecting attackers can be very effective, especially if they lack a medic to heal them.
- Demoman: Use weapon #5 (Scatter Grenades) on gates and narrow areas. Use them to surround the flag if attackers drop it. Weapon #5 is a strong defensive tool on this map.
- Engineer: Engineers are crucial for defense. Build SGs in areas like outside the well near CP1, the balcony across from CP1, the ramp north of CP1, the ledge near CP2, the ledge overlooking the overhang near CP2, the first ramp towards CP3, small ledges by CP3, areas under overhangs near CP3, and in the church.
- Spy: Maneuver behind enemy lines and use your knife. Skilled spies can be very effective this way.
- Flagrun Objective: The goal is to get all four flags into your base. You start with one, the enemy has one, and two are in a central tower.
- Flagrun Strategy - Grabbing Central Flags: Be the first to grab the flags in the central tower, as players often forget this crucial step.
- Scout: Your job is to capture flags. Conc.jumps (using concussion grenades to propel yourself) are critical. Useful spots include between the two sniper balconies across the map. Save some concussion grenades for escapes from tunnels or enemy territory. Stay out of sight due to Snipers and watch for SGs in the enemy flagroom.
- Sniper: Besides the obvious Sniper Balconies, hidden spots include the tower with the two flags (be aware of enemies coming after you), the two bridges inside friendly territory leading to your flags (possible to get onto the incline above tunnels with a conc.grenade), a corner away from medkits near your base entrance, the corner above the ladder to the Sniper balcony, and tunnels leading from your base to the middle of the map. Also, snipe from the tunnel in the ENEMY base leading to their Sniper Balcony (not the path from respawn (be brought back to life at a checkpoint after death)).
- Soldier: Send rockets at annoying Snipers. Early in the match, go to the middle of the map towards the enemy tower. Crouch against the wall near the ladder to their Sniper balcony. An enemy might wait at the top of the ladder for the gates to open; rocket them. If no one waits, go up yourself to grab a flag. This can lead to an early 3-1 flag lead.
- Medic: Infecting Snipers is useful. Stick near your base to heal infected teammates or go for flags. Use your Super-Nailgun and normal grenades against SGs. Use conc.grenades for rapid exits.
